I use to work for Folks back in the 90s and I have always loved their food. I live in Macon and I make a trip to the McDonough location once a week. They have the best country fried steak around. The peach muffins are more of a dessert to me than a piece of pie. If your in the area I-75 and hwy 20, try it, the food is really good there.

Worst place in McDonough. Gave this place serval chances and sucks every single time. Just walked out of this place after being told that they weren't taking anymore orders. At 6 at night. What?!??

This is the worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant. Food was undercooked. Fish was red and raw. Hush puppies were raw in the center. Corn on the cob was not cleaned well before being cooked. We waited almost an hour for our food. Manager is incompetent and seemed totally overwhelmed. To give them credit, they did remove my husband's fish meal from the ticket. After paying almost $40 for three meals, we are now driving to another restaurant to get some edible food.

One of my favorite places to eat In McDonough. I love their 3 course meal deal. I always end up getting the catfish or the fried chicken. The customer service can be hot or miss sometimes and I find the fried green tomatoes to be too greasy. That's the only reason why I didn't give them five stars because everything else is great!

Used to love this place. Will never return. Poor service, ribs overdone, messed up both my order and my wife's. Hard to get refills, napkins. Server was Alexis. Seemed she wanted to be somewhere else. Surely not interested in taking care of her one table. No clue where she was. As a follow-up, i sent in a complaint to corporate on this and I also explained I did want anything from them for free, just calling their attention to something IMO that was terrible. Not a word from them, which tells me a lot. They do not care.

Service was great! Food.....horrible! Ordered the large Gulf Shrimp....it was like eating rubber and the onion peels were burnt! My husbands country fried steak tasted like freezer burned liver. Will never eat here again!
Not what I thought but edible. Peach muffin is still amazing like I remember. The gizzards are still great. The tea is still on point but the vegetables are not good. Shrimps and green tomatoes were good also, over all OK meal.

I love this place! They have a drive thru, which is pretty quick considering how long it can take your food to arrive inside. Fried chicken isn't the best, I love the turkey and dressing, peach muffins, catfish, peach tea...and obviously a lot of other things on the menu as well. Must try if you're in the area.

While our food was hot, the taste was lacking. The cheese used in the cheese sticks was rubbery, got chewy quick and took too long to finish chewing - definitely ruined the appetizer. Also, the ranch dressing I requested for my chicken tenders salad had a peculiar taste to it that took away from that dish as well. It seemed to be the same dressing which came with the fried green tomatoes appetizer, so this dining experience was a miss all around.

So after a bad experience the problem was resolved more than adequately. I received an invitation from the manager to come back for a redo. We are so happy we did! Our waitress Kia greeted us at the door with a smile that made us feel welcomed and part of the family. She was great with the children and made them feel the same. She the kind of waitress you want to leave a large tip to. She will definitely be worth it. We've tried a lot of restaurants with great wait staff but she is the best by far! The kids love it here now. The food was spot on perfect. The service couldn't have been better anywhere else. The manager assured us that the problem was fixed and I feel he definitely proved he is a man of his word. He was polite, friendly, professional and you can tell he loves his job. I would recommend anyone to eat here.
