I had the pulled pork plate. The texture & flavor were great. My wife got the brisket plate & it was very tender. Their hot sauce had a good flavor but wasn't too spicy. Will definitely be coming in agan for some great barbecue.

I’m from TN which makes me a BBQ expert. I try pull pork in every joint that says they have it. This is the first time I found the real thing in GA. Good job Holy Smokes. You really know what you are doing!!!

My first couple days moving to McDonough Georgia, I wanted to try BBQ spots. This was my first stop. Terrible food, small portions and ribs were already prepped and packaged with they use a microwave to heat. Left here after wasting $40 and went to the next spot spent less and food was 10x's better.

New owners changed all the original recipes that made this place the BBQ for hundreds of miles. There is no passion for BBQ here anymore just another over-priced prepackaged chain menu. It’s a shame the old owners were pushed out for trying to keep it authentic.

Had a pulled pork sandwich and mac and cheese it was delicious. The hot BBQ sauce could ask who we be ten times hotter in my opinion but I really enjoy spicy foods. Calling all the flavor was very good the pork had a good smoke flavor. I would definitely be back and the prices are very affordable. Also the staff was very nice courteous and friendly.

Worst bbq I’ve ever had!!! Ordered the combo plate with 4 dollars up charge for brisket.. chicken was not bbq, more like shredded steamed chicken, pulled pork same and no flavor. The brisket had some what smoke flavor but dry. Staff is friendly though. I gave 2 stars because of the friendly staff. Terrible bbq..

The food was really good. Melt in your mouth meat. Sweet potato fries are the best I've ever tasted. Staff is friendly and kind. You must try.
Had some amazing food here. Ambience is dope AF. Finished the entire plate so.... no pictures. Would recommend and definitely returning.

The flavor was there ,over-priced probably because they move to a new location, ate their mad the $12.00 brisket plate not enough brisket brisket taste it like it was about 3 days old the potato salad was not chilled the okra was hot which was good ordered the $17.00 rib plate half rib plate to go and a $12. pulled pork plate to go also total us $47.

Ordered the Brisket with potatoe salad! Very friendly staff and the food is to die for delicious! The staff informed me the brisket is smoked for 8 hours and cooked for 4! They had a variety of sauces. I tried the Hot and Mild, both were tangy and the right amount of spice for my preference. The restaurant is a hole in the wall with maybe 500 sq/ft of dining available. A true off the beatin' path jewel in Georgia!
