I’ve been coming to Ichiban for over a year, and it’s been my go-to most days last year and this year. It’s probably been 60% of my meals this past year. Even after moving to Stockbridge (30-45 min drive through traffic), I still make the trip because no other local hibachi compares. Most of the time, the food is great and staff is friendly. But there are quality issues occasionally, or the food comes out unseasoned where you need the yum-yum sauce. Sometimes the rice is mushy too. I’ve even found a hair in my food once. How is bringing that to their attention complaining? They made the mistake. My order was missing items. When I called from home, the cashier was dismissive while I explained and would only offer reheating instead of remaking initially. In person, the girl with the septum piercing has repeatedly had an attitude with me for no reason, and today the newest cashier was outright rude and kept ignoring me mid-sentence to take phone orders. No apology for the mistake or for making me drive all the way back from Stockbridge—wasting over 2 hours in traffic. After all the money and loyalty I’ve given this place, being gaslighted over a simple fix was disrespectful and hurtful. How can you say I only complain when all I do is place my order over the phone and pick it up without barely saying a word to anyone?! The old manager and cashiers never gave me any issues like this. Quality sure, but they fixed it without issue when I brought it to their attention, not complaining to them. I loved this food enough to go way out of my way for it, but this experience ended that. Very disappointed.

I ordered a sesame chicken, chef special today at 9 pm, and after waiting for my order, was disappointed to find it microwaved. Rice was likely fresh tho Edit: After giving it another shot, I ordered the steak bowl and a sushi entree. Tampa. Mm, great taste and fresh! Unlike last time, I was very satisfied!

Our food was hot and well seasoned. They give you soooo much food. I absolutely love this place. I can eat for three days just from ordering my food. The Habachi noodles are delicious. The house fried rice is amazing. You have to try it all. Enjoy.

Questionable Cleanliness. Diarrhea is a very real possibility. Order could arrive Cold. Fried rice is just colored with no other ingredients. Soft vegetables instead of crunchy. Thai curry pot contained a few pieces of potatoes and other vegetables that would not satisfy a toddler. Fried Dumplings were overcooked. I would not recommend eating at this establishment for the reasons listed as well as the inconsistency of the orders.
