The food is constantly well prepared and flavorful, employees gives great customer service. I loved how neat it is and character. Will visit here again.
Simplemente Rico! Simply put, tasty!
Well I have had better but I guess they're trying to get their sea legs together
This place is great, my 6 year old son loves there soup. They’re just so kind and welcoming. Love it.
Everything made fresh, prices are good, the service is top notch and the portions are BIG, specially the Tripletas.Highly recommended
?Great atmosphere and service. The food is fresh and authentic ❤?
I'm Boricua and always looking for a good, authentic Puertorican restaurant--or at least a restaurant serving Puertorican dishes--which is extremely rare in ATL. I was sooo excited when someone told me about Myke's place and my family and I went on a Saturday evening a few weeks ago. First, the place was empty and was overwhelming with grease smoke smell. Nonetheless, being new, we ordered and ate the food there (instead of to-go). My kids ordered arroz amarillo con gandules y costillas (ribs w/ yellow rice and pigeon peas) and my hubby and I shared baked chicken with the same rice. My parents are Nuyoricans and I've grown up enjoying the famed NYC-style cuchifritos and ordered a few empanadas de res (beef). We didn't have time for relleno de papa (stuffed potato). Myke was very pleasant and we chatted nearly the entire time. Overall the place was tidy and organized. That's where the 3 stars end. I don't know if we ended up with the pegao (burnt rice from the bottom which a lot of people love but I don't) or just food sitting since the morning. Point being, it was NOT fresh and was very oily (Puertorican rice should NOT be oily and like most of the Caribbean is cooked aldente). The ribs were very good, well-seasoned as was the chicken. The rice was a great disappointment though. Finally, the empanadas...smh...another disappointment. The amount of filling was like what you'd see at Taco Bell...very little. The flavor was so-so and he added a sauce that was way too spicy and didn't mix well with the emapanadas. If you're a true Boricua or are familiar with PRcn' cuisine, the pique (hot sauce) is vinegar based with ajies caballeros and quite flavorful--this was some other hot sauce. Although my kids ate up most everything, my hubby and I couldn't really enjoy it. For this reason I can't give Myke more than 3 stars. Perhaps we'll try again later when there's more people and more fresh food being prepared...sorry Myke.
Food was amazing! Authentic! And they were friendly and accommodating. Everything was. Cooked to order! I will definitely be back!
Visited this place a few weeks ago with my family and their food and service was great! I got the "Tripleta" (Three meat sub) Sandwich and it was one of the best I ever have! Very tasty! My wife and son got some other Puerto Rican food and it was great too! If you are looking for something different to eat today, You need to visit this place!
This is my second time ever leaving a review for a restaurant. I normally don't do this and my first time leaving a review was for a Subway chain restaurant that the customer service was so bad I just had to. But today I'm leaving a detail review on Mykes Cafe because of the complete opposite. Wow! I ordered raosted pork with rice and guandules yesterday afternoon...talk about a well seasoned juicy roast pork. Definitely criollo!! I'm latina and it's so hard finding a restaurant criollo in McDonough. I'm so happy I stumbled into his restaurant. Definitely will be seeing me often...I'm trying everything on the menu!! Restaurant is clean and the food is cooked right in front of you. STRONGLY RECOMMENDED!!!

Authentic Boricua food. Wepa
Not only is the food great, made fresh to order, with fresh ingredients....Myke speaks to every customer when they walk through the door. If there’s a wait he acknowledges you still. The Ford is great and seasoned perfectly!!!! I’m definitely going back.
