We are visiting from Tampa to avoid the Hurricane Milton and found Mesquite in Jackson. What a pleasant surprise with a great staff authentically Mexican and friendly. The music was excellent with Bachata, Cumbria, and Vainato mixed in but all authentic music that we love!
We ordered poblano relleno fish tacos burritos chicken salad and guacamole. A few drinks red wine ample pour and some mixed mojitos also. Just a great time and experience!

Food was ok, The drinks were not good at all. They did not have any flavor we end up, leaving the whole drink, just the waste of money.

We moved to the area 2.5 yrs ago. Once we found this restaurant we kept going back. We go at least once per week. We are always satisfied. Their food is phenomenal as well as the service. The carnitas, quesabirria tacos and corn chowder are excellent.

Mesquite Mexican Grill & Bar in McDonough is hands down my favorite spot, and one of the main reasons for that is their amazing bartender, Autumn. She is truly a gem! Every time I visit, she greets me with the warmest smile, which instantly brightens the atmosphere.

Autumn is not just any bartender—she is incredibly talented at what she does. Her knowledge of drinks is impressive, and she always knows how to mix the perfect cocktail, no matter what you’re in the mood for. Whether it’s a classic margarita or something unique, Autumn always delivers with precision and care.

What stands out even more is her genuine personality. She’s always friendly, approachable, and attentive, making everyone at the bar feel welcomed and valued. Her positive energy is contagious, and you can tell she truly enjoys what she does. Autumn’s exceptional service and constant smile make every visit to Mesquite Mexican Grill & Bar an absolute pleasure.

Nothing was good, To start off with I ordered the Horchata, She did not inform me that it did not have refills until I asked for another, Ordered the trio fajitas, Steak, chicken and shrimp, Bland on the flavor, And the worst thing about it was they bring out a small plate that is filled with rice and refried beans, In the corner, there is a small tortilla that has a spoonful of guacamole, a spoonful of sour cream and a little bit of lettuce and tomato, I asked if I could have more for the fajitas and was told yes, but I would be charged Side dish. Before I was even finished, a lady that I hadn’t even seen came by and grabbed up my plates. I wasn’t offered dessert, but I decided to try, I ordered the fried ice cream, The ice cream was extremely hard, and the tortilla was extremely old. At the end of the day, I paid $46 plus tip $15 for something that could’ve been made better in my home

Our family tried El Mesquite over the weekend. We enjoyed our food very much. We had the molcajete and the stuffed chicken breast with cheese, zucchini and spinach dish. The prices are very reasonable. We will definitely buy from here again!
