I did not know what to expect but I'm so happy stopped. The owner was so nice and the food was amazing. I had the rib tips, potato salad and Cole slaw and everything was on point. And I have to say the sliced bread that came with the food was FRESH!! I have officially found my BBQ hotspot.

Friendly people working there, friendly customers, and the most important part, AMAZING food.I am someone whom is very picky about my bbq food, because most places can't live up to the standard my dad has set for me. That being said, I got the brisket, and it almost didn't need any of the sauce added to it. Of course, just a tiny bit of the sauce just finished it off nicely.Their stew is also something else! I didn't order it, because most stews have a wrong texture to them. I just don't like how they feel and the flavors all meld into one singular taste. That being said, we wound up getting some anyway, and... If all stew was like this? I'd love stew! It's downright delicious. Has several flavors that meld well, and the texture is not too distracting from the actual food.Get here early, though. Because if something is sold out for the day, that's it. Which tells me that there is a real love for the art of this kind of food and that these people are not about to rush perfection. (Well, maybe not perfection, but definitely leaps and bounds above any other BBQ I can get in the area!)

Our go to for brisket! This gem is located in an obscure location on the side of a gas station on Hwy. 20 in McDonough. There are not many barbecue spots in this area, but Shane's and they are not good. If you are looking for some good food, this is your spot. You won't be disappointed. Sorta pricey, but worth it.

Love this place! The service is great and the food is awesome. Definitely some of the best bbq around. If you haven't tried it, I definitely recommend it. Food is always made fresh and full of flavor.
I called to place an order for me and my 2 kids since I did not get to cook for the holiday thanks to Covid. When the guy answered, I had to ask if I called the correct place. He then told me they have a limited menu which I understood. I placed my order of chicken and 1/2 slab ribs. He said they will call me once it was ready and I could come pick up. No one ever called. Smh. The human race is such a disappointment when simple customer service is nonexistent. Save your hard earned money and spend it where it’s appreciated.

We discovered this hidden gem when we first moved from SC to GA and were in search of some good BBQ that reminded us of home! I am happy to say this is better than and BBQ I've ever had in SC! We go at least twice a month!!!

I went to Smokehouse Depot for the 1st time and ordered 3 combo meals. The man owner/cook was really friendly. They said they’ll call my cell phone when my orders were ready. I went to Wal-Mart (in Covington) did my shopping, took the groceries home, drove by to McDonough; and my food still wasn’t ready.If you have high blood pressure, don’t order the Green Beans, they were very salty. My can soda tasted flat; I looked at the date on the can and it was outdated. I’m sure had I looked at the date before I drove home, the owner would have replaced the soda (because he seemed to be that kind of person).Call before you go, I’ve been by there before and they weren’t open although the time on the business said they should be. The meat is really good, the portion size are small. If I go back again, I’ll just order meat.
