This was a fun surprise find! Loved the technique and the taste. Cute little place in the strip. The ice cream was as fresh as it gets, but delightfully light. Can't wait to try other flavors!

Walked in today for some ice cream and they were short staffed. Regina was the star of the show. She handled all orders, ran the register and provided excellent customer service. She never lost her cool. She deserves raise/promotion

Upon researching a few ice cream shops in McDonough. We decided on Sweet Charlie’s. When we walked in the lady at the counter greeted us and asked if we had been there before. We advised that we had not been to the establishment before. She advised of of the process for making the rolled ice cream and that they used a homemade recipe and pour it on a refrigerated plate and roll the ice cream into hollow rolls. They offered an assortment of different flavors and built into the pricing is three additional toppings. We both ordered the butter pecan flavor. I did notice that she used the crème brûlée torch to flavor the caramel that was added for the butter pecan ice cream. So this provided a caramelized flavor to the ice cream. Overall, the ice cream had a very good flavor profile; however, the amount of ice cream in the cup for the over eight dollars price left me wanting a little more😋. They offered several toppings, including chocolate, caramel and whipped cream in addition to almonds, coconut, bananas, and strawberries. Overall, it was a good experience however, I feel like there should be a little bit more ice cream in the cup.

This was my first time trying rolled ice cream, and unfortunately, the experience wasn’t great. The girls at the counter didn’t greet us when we walked in, gave my daughter and I a mean stare and instead of explaining the process for choosing toppings, they were a bit rude. Since it was my first time, I expected some guidance, but the lack of communication and attitude made the visit disappointing. A good attitude and a smile goes a long way in business!

Came here around 9:10pm they closed at 10 if it was 9:30 ok but if they can’t keep up the pace they need to be fired. soon as we opened the door we are closed no explanation didn’t even look at us but have more than 5 people in there
It says they close at 10 but in reality it’s at 9:15. They don’t take customers anymore after that time so save the drive.

Excellent customer service - the server explained everything in detail. A tad pricey for what you get but that's how it goes these days. Unfortunately, I,m not the biggest fan of soy and the taste was just blah...felt like I was eating frozen sugar. Anyway, if you like soy as a dairy free option then go for it, but for me, it was a waste of time and money.

Zero stars!!! Very poor customer service! My son and I walked in to an empty counter and stood there for a few minutes. A young girl finally comes from the back to tell us that they are closed. Then two more women come from the back looking all crazy like we were bothering them. If you claim to be open til 10, you should be open until 10, or change your hours to 9:30 and lock the damn door! Will not be returning!

This is the second year our school’s summer program has had the joy of visiting this incredible store, and once again, the experience was nothing short of amazing. The owners—a kind and welcoming husband-and-wife duo—along with their wonderful sons, treated our scholars with such love, patience, and care. They generously allowed the students to make their own ice cream, creating moments of pure joy and excitement. We are truly grateful for the beautiful partnership between SMITH Academy of Excellence and Sweet Charlie’s. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for making our visit so special. We can’t wait to see you all again next year!
