The Menlo Restaurant isn't just somewhere you stop in for lunch, and order a delicious burger with a side of onion rings. It's a place where you walk in on a community. People are talking and laughing or maybe crying together. It's family. Literally and figuratively. It's family run, but everyone feels like family there. It's neighbors fixing the world problems philosphising over there grits and eggs. Definitely stop in, slow down and enjoy some great food and fellowship.

We had a yummy country breakfast, served by a friendly waitress, with good prices. The only downside side is the acoustics allow you to hear every conversation in the place. Bring cash, because they don't take cards.

We made a pleasant stop on our way home. The staff were welcoming, and the food was delicious. I enjoyed the pinto beans with cornbread, turnip greens, and potato salad. They only accept cash or checks, so please remember to bring cash (an ATM is available). We lacked cell service, but the restaurant does provide WiFi.
