The Tavern at Old Toccoa Farm

The scenery and atmosphere are great. I ordered my dinner and it was completely wrong. My shepherds pie was only potatoes. Not a big deal but my wife was finished with her meal before I received my fixed meal. The meals were both very good. Typically restaurants offer a small token (drink, dessert, etc) for a mistake but nothing was offered.

The service was great; Our server was very attentive. We both ordered the fish and chips, which were good, but they only gave one piece of fish on a pile of fries. Beautiful view!

We ate there this evening for a family birthday dinner. We had reservations for 6pm and actually were seated a few minutes early. Upon arrival, there were maybe 6 other vehicles in the lot. We basically had the place to ourselves. We ordered our beverages and a few appetizers. Everything came out quick and was great. Fast forward to 730pm. We had still not received our entrees. We had not received any refills. Our waitress had not even checked on us in probably 15-20 minutes. Eventually our server came through and we asked what was taking so long. Her reply was we were next on the queue. After watching people, who were seated after us, get their meals, we were getting really irritated. Once our food finally came, my steak was cold, my wife’s steak was cold, and a couple others were very disappointed with their food as well. Being that we had waited for almost two hrs already, we ate it and paid our bill to leave. I’ve eaten here 5 or 6 times and have not been impressed yet. I never leave reviews, but couldn’t help myself this time. I doubt I will be eating there again.

We have been to The Tavern at Old Toccoa Farm many times. Dinner has always been great here, and we are always sure to bring family and friends for our special occasions. However, we went for lunch the first time today, and were disappointed with our meal. While the food was good, the quality of the food seems to have gone down from the time in which the restaurant opened. The lunch prices seemed to be the same as the dinner priced menu. However, the serving sizes for our lunch today were very small compared to what we were used to. This is not communicated on the menu. What seemed like "chef" inspired meals, has turned from hand-cut shoe string style fries, to pre-cut frozen run of the mill fries. Hoping this review will provide feedback to reinstate the quality that we know the restaurant is capable of. We will be back and hope to see improvements in the future.

Special for lunch was Pastrami Rueben on Rye. The waiter described sandwich in length. The sandwich arrived unfortunately the meat was smoked brisket. I called it to the attention of lovely waitress she confirmed it to be pastrami. She brought the manager over and I showed him the brisket. He said “well that is what the package described” and left. He never returned but Waitress returned 5min later and confirmed it was smoked beef brisket and would give me a refund. I understand mistakes happen in the kitchen what was concerning was the way the day manager 10/17/24 handled the situation.

A little pricey but food was good.

We had an amazing wedding rehearsal dinner at the tavern. Addison was helpful, and the hospitality from the service staff was top notch. The Mountain views were beautiful! The food was delicious! Our guests are still talking about the pasta bar, chicken, salmon, and filet mignon. Thanks for the memorable night.

Sat on the patio. Beautiful views the food and service was fantastic. I think a few dinner rolls would had made the meal perfect. Will definitely return and highly recommend this restaurant.

Great place with amazing service and top-notch atmosphere! However, I would have given 5 stars if we got a lunch menu instead of a breakfast menu during lunch (it was 11:30am) but still a good place!

My husband and I had a wonderful meal at the Old Toccoa Farm Tavern last night. The whole experience was outstanding from the moment we were welcomed at the guard gate by Dave. The view was amazing as well as the food! We received top notch service by Trisha and Peggy. Addison, the food and beverage director, made a point to stop by our table and check on our experience. We learned a lot about the Blue Ridge area as well as about the developments that are in place to make this amazing property even better. Lastly, the food was outstanding! One of the best experiences I have had in the Blue Ridge area! We will be back!
