“We ordered a custom cake for our little girl’s 5th birthday during our vacation in blue ridge and let me tell you, it was simply amazing. She nailed down exactly what we wanted in the cake, the cake was absolutely beautiful and the best part - it tasted AMAZING. I am not a fan of anything that isn’t chocolate and I hate icing but I even had multiple slices of this cake and LOVED the icing. She was very responsive and very sweet as well! We will be ordering again on our next trip! (I promise to order further ahead of time next time lol) Highly recommend!! 10/10 greatness.”

“Went there finally for the first time today with my Mom. Everyone there is so nice and friendly. Food is fantastic, the chili dog was huge and the best I’ve ever had. “I want to comment regarding my appreciation for an employee named John. My family had been on vacation in a cabin in Mineral Bluff for a week and we were headed home on Saturday morning. I stopped by for two large coffee’s. I was wearing an “Afghanistan Veteran” shirt. The kind gesture and and appreciation for my service that John demonstrated was greatly appreciated. The respect he displayed has gained me as a repeat customer when I am in the area for future vacations. I hope management will recognize this outstanding employee.”

“My wife and I come to Blue Ridge every year. We decided to go to Grace for my 33rd birthday tonight. Hands down the best food I have ever had. We had the filets with a side of creamed corn and broccolini (Chef’s treat). They also gave me a couple of special treats for my birthday and I can assure you I won’t forget the kind gesture. “This restaurant is fabulous, I have never had an issue until yesterday. I ordered the pabellon criollo plate which comes with sweet plantains. I also ordered a side of fried yuca and a side of avocados. When I got my meal, the sweet plantains were missing and my sides also. I explained to our waitress that I did not get the plantains nor my side dish. She apologized and brought them out to me. When I went to pay, I was charged for the plantains that should have been included in my meal. I explained this to her, but she kept arguing back that no it was extra which it wasn’t. I didn’t argue anymore and just paid it. $4.99 extra, which really $5.00 was not worth arguing for. But the principle of it! Like I said, the food is wonderful and we never had an issue until this. Makes me not want to go back. What a shame.”

“My wife and I were in Blue Ridge for a weekend trip and decided to try this restaurant for lunch. SO glad we did! I got a Cuban sandwich and my wife had the steak sandwich. Both were amazing! We came back later in the day and picked a rum cake and a piece of tres leches cake to take back to our cabin. Both were incredible! This was our favorite restaurant on our trip and we will definitely be back!”

Waited 35 minutes she then went to seat us inside, we said outside please waited waited at least 20 more minutes, then 10 more to be greeted. ,med rare 16 oz. Ribeye,was very rare. Potatoes good. G.m.approached every table but ours. I still tipped 20 percent to server, not all her fault. . Never again”

“Great burgers and beer selection. Really surprised to see St. Bernardus on draft. Parking lot is a bit small so walking there is suggested when it gets busy. The fried deviled eggs are amazing. Get them spicy.”

“The Sweet Shoppe baked our wedding cake and WOW. Just wow! It was honestly exactly what we wanted as far as appearance. But the taste!?! We were all blown away! We ordered a simple vanilla cake with buttercream frosting, but this was next level! Everyone got a second piece of cake and EVERYONE talked about how perfect the flavor was. How you take the flavor of a simple vanilla cake to that level of perfection, I’ll never know. The texture was amazing as well! Very moist and light, but also fairly dense! I told my husband he absolutely has to take me by their bakery for cupcakes before we leave Blue Ridge! We will 100% use The Sweet Shoppe again! A truly exceptional experience!!!”
