The wings were great! The sauce was just right for me....just a little heat. I ordered a 10 piece honey mild. The price was good and the wings were fresh and hot. I tried to wait until I got home to eat them but that didn't happen ?. I will be back the next time I visit Monroe.

Always love the food from here. Workers are amazingParking: There are like 10 parking spots in front of this strip. Can sometimes be annoying to park but since I order ahead I can park behind people and be gone before they come out. There is a track across the street that has street parking as well so not to worry

First time going ordering a veggie plate it took her over ten minutes to bring my food is when I realized she was heating up the food in the microwave collards was dry dressing wasn't good make and cheese had a funny taste it was all just bad !!!!!!

First visit...food was very good, lemonade tasted homemade, chicken was very small but very tasty. Fried okra was also very good and so was the chicken dressing. Service was great, the ppl were very nice and food was served quickly 15 minutes. Inside of restaurant was ok...it was clean and quiet. I will definitely return in the future.

Visited the little historic town of Monroe today bc I hadn't been in at least 20 years and boy has it changed! Google soul food and R.J's came up with 4.5 ⭐s so decided to give it a try and I'm sure happy I did! The catfish was outstanding as was the fried okra (so much) and butterbeans even though I could only taste the cornbread bc of how very full I was it was quite tasty too! The best part though is this is a family business the daughter is the owner but the grandma cooks and the daughters daughter works the counter also her brother works there too and all of them were the nicest people! So down to earth and friendly we got to try the chicken salad which was DELICIOUS if I hadn't already ordered the catfish I would've gotten chicken salad! Can't wait to go back for a Sunday dinner! There's no inside dining since covid but the owner raised an umbrella and we ate on the front patio with perfect weather and a steady stream of customers that we so enjoyed talking too! Definitely my kinda place and I promise if you give them I try you won't be disappointed!

Tried the wings for the first time. Kitchen was dirty, they've clearly never cleaned anything in the kitchen. Got 40 wings. Wife and I both woke up at 2am with food poisoning. Vomited all night and into the morning. Both had to miss work. Will never be back.
