Went with kids to get ice cream and they charged us 6.00 for each kid for a junior scoop that is half that in Madison Ga location… if your looking to do something with family Goto Madison

The last two times that we’ve been there staff have been so rude. I’m not sure who the older gentleman that works there is but both times he has been so hateful. Tonight while we were there, I asked him if there was a bathroom and his response was “yeah but you got to wait in line” and pointed to a wall. I didn’t see a line so I asked if there was a line and all I got was a “yeah”. So I asked if he could wet a napkin (that I handed him) so that I could wipe my son’s hands and face. He just stared at me. Finally one of the other girls took and said she would do it. My husband never complains but even he noticed. We will be taking our business elsewhere from now on.

This place has always been a family favorite but for the past few months, we have noticed a huge decline. The ice cream is always melted now and half the freezer is out of stock. I always get chocolate from here, but I got a buckeye a few weeks ago and it had hair in it. I tried another chocolate a few days ago and it literally tasted like mop water. Maybe it’s time to give the refrigerator a deep clean and a new filter because it’s reflecting through the chocolate. The sanitation of this place is definitely declining. We have just settled for milks shakes at LR burger or drive to Covington Scoops.

I visited Scoops today. The ice cream, is melted/smeared on top then re-frozen inside the tubs, even had a ice consistency. Scoops used to be good, now, the ice cream is not appealing and the store looks rundown and in need of updating. Staff was unfriendly as well. Will not be returning.

Kid-friendliness: The kids will love it, my granddaughters always want to go
I've gone to Scoops for several years. And over the years there have been up and downs But the last 4 or 5 months is a fast decline. The ice cream is always partly melted. The place is constantly messy, even when it's not busy. And the last 4 times I've gotten apples they have been soft or bruised on the inside. If I'm paying $12 for an apple it's shouldn't be rotting or soft on the inside.

Went in on Saturday 8/24/2024: Went in to get chocolate covered strawberries (advertised on window/door). Was told they did not do them anymore, then changed to only do them in February. Seems like the strawberries would sell better than a lot of the other stuff in counter. Then I asked for a Carmel Latte (hot) and was told they did not have coffee cups. Then they “found” some, the young ladies working the register and backup seemed to want to be anywhere but there. The young lady scooping ice cream was a sweetheart and very helpful.

Very unfriendly employees today that made it clear they wanted to be anywhere but at work. Will not be taking my family back. People get ice cream just to enjoy and celebrate life, not to feel like a burden.

My family used to love going here since they opened. The other day my mom took my seven year old son here. An employee offered him candy cigarettes saying these are the good ones, they even blow smoke. Why on earth would anyone want to make a seven year old think smoking is cool. If you’re looking for a better place, butter'dudder at the Publix pavilion is amazing! It’s a family owned business with awesome, home made flavors to choose from.
