My husband and I loved this cafe! It was a perfect little lunch spot conveniently located in the heart of downtown Monroe! We didn't want anything too heavy so we had chicken salad sandwiches and soup and it was perfect!
Good food and service but expensive. We had the chicken with pimento sandwich and the chicken salad sandwich.
Really great staff. The cafe is conveniently located near free parking. I really like there breakfast menu but they have a great lunch selection too. Easily one of the better resturaunt in down town.
The food was great, but no champagne for mimosas, the service was very slow and we had a bunch of teenage girls who had no idea what was going on. They charged our credit cards incorrectly as well.
Found this place because of Google maps search. Loved it. Good food, friendly staff. Loved the old historical buildi mgbg. Very clean.
Thought we’d try a local “non-chain” place for dinner. The Cotton Cafe is warm and inviting, with vintage tables and tasteful Christmas decorations.
One hour to get 6 burgers and 2 sandwiches. The burgers were cooked to death. like a piece charcoal ! We ordered medium rare to medium. The waitress would disappear... ugg never again! This was a birthday lunch! 106.00 bill terrible service and gross food!!!!
Love this place. Wonderful atmosphere. It is great every time I visit.
My friend & I went there for lunch today. Arrived at 12:15. Didn't even get water for nearly an hour. Our food (soup of the day & a grilled sandwich) didn't arrive till 2:05. Yes, the food was good, but waiting 1 hour, 50 minutes for soup & a sandwich is beyond ridiculous! Do yourselves a favor & find another restaurant.
Cozy little diner. Loved it and will be back many more times.

It’s a quaint place. I really like it. The food is good and there’s quite a variety. My DIL absolutely loves the pancakes, and The pimento cheese is to die for, in a sandwich or on crackers.
Poor service times, poor quality food at high prices. Atmosphere is delightful but folks dont come to a restaurant to stare at walls and not get served adequately. Will not be returning any time soon
Our waitress was very slow, and very unfriendly! We ordered the grilled cheese with bacon sandwich. For $8.29 the cheese was not melted, and I only got one piece of RAW bacon on my order and I mean Raw BACON! The waitress said she would not turn the over head fans off when requested by an older couple she said she gets to hot from running orders out. All of the waitresses hair was hanging down not pulled back. For the prices you pay for such a small portion I was shocked, and will never come back and I love to support local businesses.
If you are closing at 2 on Sunday please... correct this time on trip advisor. Drove out of my way to arrive at 2 which is an hour before your close time of 3 on Sunday.
Great menu and good food - great place to eat. I am a local and have eaten here many times so I know the food is consistently good.
