Now I remember why I haven't been here in a while..
They were generous to let us wait for our party. I appreciate that.
The children's high chair was so sticky and matted with grease as well as crumbs still.in the seat as it was delivered. I gave up after I tried to clean it with thier own product. The tables were the same. General wipe downs on surfaces, but debris and food remnants left in the cracks and on the table surfaces.
As we ordered, it took 45 minutes for it to arrive. And my meal was forgotten.
When I brought it to thier attention, they were appreciative that I didn't have fries, or it would have taken longer.
The fried pickles appetizer was so oily that the wrapper collected over 2 tablespoons of oil in the basket. We tried, but we couldn't stomach it.
When my meal did arrive, the brisket was room tempature, and the Mac and cheese was oily.
A breakdown of the rest.
-the salmon and rice pilaf special
Salmon was pretty decent, well cooked and seasoned right
The rice pilaf, over cooked and drenched in lemon. Could not eat it.
The asparagus, over cooked, drenched in lemon to hide it. Inedible.

No apologies, no visits from a manager. Just faces that looked and hoped we woud just leave and not say anything.

Maybe I'll try again in another year. But I won't be coming back anytime soon.

We have eaten here several times and for the most part has usually been good with little hiccups here and there. We have done take out a few times. One instance we had the banana pudding and it had the date on it. It was over a week old and very dried up. The next time we did take out I asked the person picking up to ask if the pudding was fresh and if yes to get an order. I have no idea if it was fresh, old or what. It was incredibly runny and taste like vinegar. Took one bite and spit it right out. I feel certain I would have ended up very sick had I ingested it. I tried to resolve this without leaving this on fb. I have called numerous times. I have left msgs with actual people? Left a voicemail and even called and not had my calls picked up. I can’t imagine I am the only complaint from the banana pudding. It was August 5th. I understand things can go wrong. But the not returning phone calls and making the situation right is not ok.

Stopped in to grab a pulled pork sandwich for lunch (7/26/25). We were seated and waitress was prompt with menu and took our drink and food order. We ordered a pulled pork sandwich and chips along with tea to drink. We waited 25 minutes and still NO food. We stopped the waitress and asked about our order. She went into the kitchen and brought the food out. It must have been sitting there for awhile. The pulled pork sandwich was cold/meat was tough/not good. We weren't offered a refill on our drink. Not a restaurant We will visit again!

Cute bbq joint. I had the pulled pork plate with Brunswick stew and baked beans. Everything was excellent. The Brunswick stew is amazing! My friend had the 2 meat combo with brisket and ribs. We both thought the brisket was excellent, but he said the ribs were dry (I didn’t try the ribs). We both wanted fried okra, but they were out of it. The service was excellent, and everything seemed clean, and well maintained. Would recommend.

Overall, the food was not good. The pulled pork had a lot of large fat pieces in it. The ribs were poorly seasoned. The peach cobbler did not taste homemade, and the crust was soggy. The banana pudding was horrible—poorly flavored and not one banana. I will never eat there again.

The place is clean & cute. The server was nice, but the food may be average at best. The brisket had a very smokey taste but no real flavor. The turkey had good flavor but was very dry. The Mac & Cheese was oily & the cheese was clumpy, (not smooth) but no seasoning to it (no salt, pepper, etc). The fried okra was extremely greasy. The Brunswick stew didn't have much flavor either until a lot of the spicy BBQ sauce was stirred into it. The spicy BBQ sauce & the sweet sauce were good.

We tried this place again and ofcourse awful as always, cold brunswick stew, bone dry ribs and pulled pork
For a bill of 107.39 seems like it would be alittle better but bbq from the freezer isle at kroger is way better, only thing that was ok was the sweet tea
Good luck holding the food down if you choose to eat here

The building is beautiful. Clean. Friendly wait staff.
The food on the other hand was not good. My pulled pork was bone dry and my brisket was dry too.
The potato salad and Cole slaw lacked flavor.
You gotta do better.
Also. If you're going to use sweet baby rays bbq sauce at least do something to it. Add a little flavor everywhere
