Great sandwiches on some delicious bread...Rueben on marble rye & turkey 'n cheese on sourdough, perfectly portioned and perfectly toasted. Have a nice selection of homemade goodies and seasonal items, priced to sell! Got a generous sized, nicely frosted, espresso-chocolate chip cake to go, we'll bite into it later...

I can not say enough about this place! My husband and I moved to the area last year, and we're lucky that we found this place. We love the monte cristo, spicy bacon, the turkey melts. Honestly, everything we've ever gotten from here is delicious. We also love the potato salad. A few weeks ago, they had orange cookies, which are my favorite. My mom would make them for me every year, and I've never seen them anywhere else.
Traveling through Monticello on our way to Athens..We stopped at this beautiful town square looking for a bite to eat. We chose Five Loaves...and I am so glad I did. The food was delicious. I chose the Ham on Swiss with a bowl of tomato and basil..I have never had a sandwich so good. I will definitely stop here again. We also enjoyed the beautiful town square with so much to see I wish we could have stayed longer.

We stopped here while driving through for a quick lunch. Service was pleasant, food was out quickly, portions are normal sized which is great when you can’t take food with you, although I think some would consider that a downside. I had the French dip, the sourdough was delicious the meat was fresh and flavorful. My partner had the spicy bacon melt, he thought it was good. He was an especially impressed by the potato salad.
