The Hill at Serenbe

I’ve been going to the Hill for a while now, so I feel like I’ve been enough to give a well informed review. The Service is fantastic, extremely friendly and helpful wait staff, a funny bartender, everything you want from a nice restaurants, the Atmoshpere is nice too, especially on busy nights. However the food is incredibly inconsistent, there have been nights where I have truly believed it was one of the best burgers I’ve ever had, and others where it’s overcooked, and had been sitting in the pass for several minutes. Trout was disappointing, especially for the $40 price tag, and had also been sitting in the pass and had gone cold. Please get the inconsistency of food under control, I do genuinely like going to the hill, but for now I can’t give it above 3 stars.

Over priced mediocre food....

We ordered two salads — that’s it — and waited about 45 minutes for them to arrive. When they finally did, the Caesar was missing basic ingredients (no croutons), and the Autumn salad had no cheese. No apology, no acknowledgment. To make things worse, there was a long blonde hair in my salad. Again, no apology — just attitude from the manager, Davery, who chose to correct me for saying we waited “a proverbial hour” instead of showing any concern or accountability. Music is super depressing - maybe change of Spotify playlist would help.

The only reason this isn’t a 1-star review is because of Jamie, who was awesome. He was attentive, accommodating, and went above and beyond to make up for what the rest of the team completely missed. Jamie deserves 5 stars — the rest of the experience, unfortunately, does not.

We stopped by on the way home from a girl’s weekend and could not have been more disappointed. The server was rude and condescending. She took 30 min to tell us they were out of two of our three meals, took another 10 min to take another order and then come back 10 min later to confirm our order. We had to ask for a second glass of water while she made endless excuses. We left after 65 min., only for the manager to tell us not to “take it so personally.” The worst was as we drove away the manager hung over the railing shaking our food bowls at us. Who does this?

Christy was so friendly and professional during our time at this gem of a restaurant! The drinks were amazing and the food was so delicious and flavorful! The Hill Rita was so fresh and tasty! A+++

Was a little quiet when we went, but the burger and truffle fries were great, the pizza and wings were really good as well. Service was really good as well.

The food was okay. Service was very good and the atmosphere was nice. We had a party of 15. 3 people had to leave because of a medical emergency for one of our party (not related to anything at the restaurant) just before the food arrived. Wait staff didn't seem to notice or question why 3 people left and didn't touch their food. Still billed for the 3 untouched meals that we didn't take home because everyone rushed to the hospital after eating.

Pretty downtown Serenbe setting. Beautiful trails for walking, pretty houses and architecture. That said, the food here is pretty so so as well as service. Despite that it gets very full because it’s such a busy area. Probably need to make reservations. Oh, and it’s pretty darn expensive.
