It's Monday at 12:45p, we chose to try this place. We were seated with menus. We sat for over 15 minutes when another couple was seated. After a few minutes, I noticed the other couple had drinks. Clearly, the 4 ppl working around us didn't even notice we hadn't gotten even drinks. My guy had made eye contact with one employee there, but she made sure to ignore us. I did tell the staff we were going and why, and only then they decided they would tend to us. We left. We've never experienced this level of ignoring at any other place.

We had a buffet lunch on Easter day. Turkey breast, candied ham, beef, and a variety of sides, salad, drinks and desserts. Delicious food that was nicely presented. This was not free, however. Breakfast always is and it too was set up with many choices, which were all very tasty. Recommend this hotel restaurant.

My first visit to Highlands Bakery was an interesting experience. I ordered the classic eggs benedict. Unfortunately, it was cold, which was a letdown, and gave me a stomachache. However, I was very pleasantly surprised by the Sweet Potato Pancakes that I tried. Even though they were not as fluffy, as some would like, I found that the slight crumbly interior and the hint of sweetness from the potatoes pleasant. The manager and server also briefly check up on us, despite the eatery being very busy, which was a nice touch. Overall, I had an alright experience and would recommend the sweet potato pancakes.

If you’re looking for a yummy, cozy dining experience at a restaurant with plenty of choices for meat eaters and vegetarians alike, Friends Table is the place for you. In fact, there are so many tempting choices, I’ve found it hard to pick each time I’ve eaten there, no matter which meal—breakfast, lunch, or dinner. For example, at breakfast I’ve struggled to choose among sweet potato pancakes with caramelized brown sugar butter and toasted pecans, ricotta lemon zest pancakes, French toast made with challah bread and fresh berries, peanut butter French toast, Mexican style egg burrito, breakfast BLT, Italian veggie plate with Vermont cheddar, smoked salmon plate, build-your-own-omelet, and 6 Benedicts. At one lunch, chose the roasted turkey with peach mayo, avocado, tomato, mixed greens and balsamic vinaigrette on grilled honey wheat. But had to go back for the Thai peanut wrap with chicken, rice noodles, basil, carrots, red peppers, peanut sauce and mixed greens. Next up is the curried chicken salad sandwich. The soup of the day is usually one of the best I’ve ever had. So far for dinner, have loved the Shrimp Dynamite appetizer and grilled ribeye steak with asparagus, Mediterranean veggies, roasted red potatoes, onions and chipotle adobo sauce. Have not felt guilty about returning often as the food is not only delicious, but tends to be very healthy and I still have so many things to try.

Not one employee here could ever be a friend at my table. Took my family here today for the first time, we walked in and did not get greeted or acknowledged, we stood there for over 5 minutes, they were not busy at all. when someone finally came to the host stand, now with others in line behind us, he approached us very unwelcoming, saying hello to me and my family very dry and uninviting, rolling his eyes slightly, just no expression on his face, unhappy... even with this we asked to sit outside we loved the fact there was live music and still wanted to give it a try even with this terrible entrance, we sit outside and wait again for a very long time, no one approaches our table. a server never came to even get drinks for us. we decided to just leave after this completely overall terrible experience. I would like to say me and my family will not be back, we enjoyed Postianos across the lot instead and had a wonderful experience as always. please get better employees that know better customer service skills. Also there were no kid friendly options/meals. 10/10 would NOT recommend.

I really want this place to succeed since its local to me but today just was a little disappointing. Service was slow but thats usual. I ordered the tomato soup and it was chunky not creamy. The taste wasnt good. The waiter was very nice and brought out the white chicken chili Unfornuately, I didnt think it tasted great either. I didnt complain though. I couldnt drink my cup of water, it tasted like city water that needs to be filtered. I also noticed when checking out that their restaurant rating was a 88. I will return in hopes of improvement or maybe just a bad day.
