We generally frequent Newk’s once a week using the dine-in option in the app. While our food is good, some recent changes are disappointing.
Last night we were surprised to see the app now automatically applied a 20% gratuity - you have to remove this. If Newk’s wants to be a full-table service restaurant, then do that, but don’t try to trick us into leaving a 20% tip. Heck, when we order a drink we’re delivered an empty cup we have to go fill ourselves!
I was also disappointed to see a 3% service fee added to the app. I don’t get it - you ENCOURAGE using the app and grabbing a red table number to avoid people standing in line (there’s even a sign at the register!), but then you punish us with an additional fee?

My wife and I went in this week for lunch. I ordered the French Dip. The quality of the roast beef was awful. It was so full of grizzle, that I couldn’t eat it. My wife ordered a chicken salad wrap. She asked for no tomatoes. The wrap came out with tomatoes. She asked them to take it back and remove the tomatoes. They gladly did, but there was at least twice the amount of lettuce than chicken salad. Her wrap probably had 2 tablespoons of chicken salad. We had 2 sandwiches and 2 drinks for a total of $30.16. What a waste of money.

Newk's is a fantastic spot that never disappoints! Their pizzas are simply awesome—perfectly crispy crusts, fresh toppings, and packed with flavor. Ate here a few times, it was good. Today we got the Cheese steak and lobster bisque. Both were horrible. Terrible steak cuts, cold, chewy. Bisque was not edible. Tasted like ketchup.
Just had a really nice linch at this location. The cashier was absolutely amazing, made our lunch fun, the meals were really good and the meat portions on two of our sandwiches were stacked and good. Previous meal at this location was less than good, nice to see they really are worth the visit

Tried the Pesto Pasta Chicken Salad today. It was good but definitely not my favorite one there. Wish the chicken had been cut into smaller pieces.

Tried this location today for the first time, ordered a French Dip and the sandwich was awful. There was hardly any meat on the sandwich, see pic, the beef was tough Wafer thin cut of meat and not cooked completely.Will try again, might be just a bad day in the kitchen
Not enough cashiers during busy time. People just leave when it takes to long to order. Other than that, very good eatery.
