The food and the service were excellent, they have happy hour from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. which we were not able to take advantage of because we got there before that time. But the food was so good and we ended up getting a few drinks that were also very good. I totally need to come back and try more of their food!

The braised short ribs were not short ribs…a short rib by definition has a rib in it. I was just given a piece of boneless chuck roast. I was definitely expecting something different than pot roast. It still tasted good, but definitely something I could easily cook at home for much less money. Overall, I was pretty disappointed in the entree. However, the duck confit crostini was very good. I really liked the cherry sauce, it really balanced out the goat cheese sitting under the duck confit. Our drinks were good too, but I don’t love when I get huge garnishes of herbs. Am I supposed to chew on this stick of lavender as I sip? Annoying and just in my way.The service started out good, but really fizzled out as the dining went on. Took a long time to get his attention when we needed him.Still, overall I would give this a four over a three. The food is still one of the best options around and I’ve never gotten anything that was BAD here. Everything, in general, tastes pretty good and is cooked well. But c’mon, y’all know those aren’t short ribs!

Meet 2 friends for dinner. We split a pimento cheese dip. I had am the cheesesteak and they added jalapeños and mushrooms for me. My girlfriend ordered a chicken salad. Our friends got the duck tacos and country fried steak. Plus we ordered cocktails.
