Our server was rude for no reason. We just sat down. She made a rude comment to us then stood at the door and told others about it we felt embarrassed and not too happy to spend my Mother’s Day lunch there. What did we do? Bad day?

I've been eating here for years. It's the best Mexican food in Powder Springs. I always get really good service. I've come so often they know my name. The Mango Chicken is awesome!

This is my favorite La Parilla restaurant.
Again a great TexMex meal.

Had a really great experience at La Parilla! The food came out fast, fresh, and hot. Everything was full of flavor and the service was friendly and attentive the whole time. Perfect spot if you want delicious Mexican food without a long wait!

I don’t usually leave reviews, but I had to because Tamara just blows it out of the water every time I come. She’s such a hard worker, always bringing the best energy, and somehow manages to make every experience feel welcoming and personal. No matter how busy it gets, Tamara stays attentive, positive, and on top of everything. You can tell she genuinely cares about the customers and takes pride in what she does. Great service is hard to find these days, but Tamara consistently goes above and beyond. She’s the kind of person that keeps people coming back. Absolutely one of the best servers I’ve ever had!

Me and my family always eat at La parilla and it’s always an amazing experience since the moment we enter with the kind host to our food delivery
Our sever was Tamara today but all the severs are amazing . The manager Lucy checked around the tables and was so kind . Love it here

My coworker and I recently visited this restaurant and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience with the customer service. When we first arrived, we politely asked if a booth was available. The hostess seemed unsure and told us to just sit at the bar, so we did. Shortly after, we noticed open booths and moved to one since we preferred a more comfortable seating arrangement.

From that point on, the energy from multiple staff members completely shifted. Several waiters approached us, and it became very obvious there was frustration about us sitting in the booth area because they were handling a nearby party — even though we were not directly near or interfering with the party at all.

We were then asked to move booths again, and the attitudes from staff only became more noticeable. The biggest issue came when our server brought over the chips and salsa. It genuinely felt like the items were thrown onto the table rather than served with basic hospitality and kindness.

We calmly spoke with the manager about how uncomfortable the interaction made us feel, but instead of addressing the behavior with empathy or professionalism, the response was essentially that the server “assumed” we were staying at the bar and didn’t know we’d be sitting in a booth. That explanation honestly did not justify the treatment we received.

What made the experience even more upsetting was watching how warm, polite, and accommodating the staff seemed to be with other customers around us, while we, as two Black women, were met with noticeably different energy and treatment the entire time. Whether intentional or not, that is exactly how it felt walking out of there.
What makes this even more disappointing is that we have actually recommended several residents and people we know to this restaurant because we previously enjoyed it. To be treated this way after supporting the business truly left a bad taste in our mouths. The manager showed little to no empathy regarding the situation, and because of that experience, we honestly no longer even want to dine here anymore.
The food may be good, but customer service and professionalism matter just as much. No guest should ever feel like an inconvenience simply for wanting to sit at an available table.

There's almost ALWAYS a child ruining the ambiance. This is still my favorite Mexican restaurant but, it used to be so much better. Loud, misbehaving children ruin things.

I love this place!! The food and service are always good. Natalia is my favorite waitress. She is always on point. The drinks have a nice kick behind them too. Can’t beat that!!
