First I'd like to say, we often refer people to Bella Mia (and all sister restaurants) when someone is looking for great authentic and fresh food. However, last night we brought my mom for her birthday and the food was not at the normal level of excellence. Most in our party of six were satisfied, but none were overly impressed. We shared a great bottle of wine with, the Calamari appetizer, Frutti Di Mare and Steak w/ mushroom risotto. Dessert was so fabulous it just vanished, chocolate cake.

The food was seriously excellent. We got the Pappardelle with meatballs and the Shrimp Scampi and they were both so good. Our family is Italian so we are snooty about Italian food and this was the real deal. I just wish the tables were sandwiched so closely together!
