I recently visited Grit + Grain for a mid-week dinner, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. We kicked things off with the bread basket and crispy pork belly—both were deliciously southern, with the pork belly being perfectly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside.
For our main courses, we had a diverse spread: the Grit + Grain House Burger with truffle fries, Cajun chicken pasta, and Ilene’s meatloaf. Each dish was bursting with flavor, but the burger stood out as our favorite—juicy, well-seasoned, and complemented perfectly by the rich truffle fries. The Cajun chicken pasta had a great balance of spice, and the meatloaf was comforting and satisfying.
Though we had no room for dessert, we couldn’t resist trying the drinks. The peach margarita was refreshing, but the real standout was the apple butter mule—it was absolutely perfect, with the apple butter giving it a uniquely smooth and flavorful twist.
Overall, Grit + Grain delivered an outstanding dining experience with bold flavors and a warm, welcoming vibe. Highly recommend!

Our server LaLa was personable and went over the top in assuring we had a great experience. I got the swordfish special and it was divine. Unfortunately, we were only passing through Savannah, but will have to come back just for this place and explore the rest of the menu! 10/10

The food is really delicious! The peach margaritas are awesome with real marinated peaches in the drink! Our server, Karen, is the best! She has a great personality and gives awesome recommendations for appetizers, entrees and the fabulous, delicious desserts!!! I highly recommend this local Richmond Hill restaurant! I eat here at least once a month!!!

Makenna was fantastic! The best experience I’ve ever had. Don’t know how much stock she has in the restaurant but she acts as if she owns it. Will definitely be looking forward to seeing her again.
We are new to the area and decided to try Grit + Grain tonight after hearing an ad on the radio. We were not disappointed! The food was all 10/10. Our table ordered steak frites, country fried chicken, kid's chicken tenders, a peach margarita, and a fields of berries cocktail. Oh, and how could I forget the bread basket with the honey lavender butter? Delicious! However, the highlight of our experience was Karen. I had read a review praising her before we went, so I was pleased when she appeared at our table and introduced herself. She was an outstanding server to us. Knowledgeable, attentive, but her kindness stood out the most. Once we got there our son began to say he wasn't feeling well and she offered several things that might help. In addition to wishing him well at the end of the meal. We will definitely be back! My only suggestions & comments are that a few more options on the kids menu would be nice and the restaurant was a bit chilly inside.

My husband and I had a wonderful dinner last night. I got the special - salmon over Parmesan risotto and seared Brussel sprouts and he had the Hot Honey Chicken Bowl. Both meals were beyond amazing. For dessert, we had banana pudding cheesecake - yum! Our server, Karen, was so attentive and had an amazing personality. So happy with our experience here!
