Stopped in on a whim during my lunch break and wow—those cactus tacos did not come to play.

I was expecting a decent bite to hold me over, but what I got was a full-on flavor party wrapped in a tortilla. The nopales (cactus) were perfectly cooked—tangy, tender, and somehow both refreshing and hearty. Whoever’s in that kitchen deserves a raise and possibly a small parade.

Service was super quick (bless you, lunch rush gods), and the staff was friendly without making it weird that I inhaled my food like I hadn’t eaten in days.

If you’re on the fence about trying cactus, this place will turn you into a believer.

Twice I’ve been there, once in the restaurant and once at the bar, and twice I’ve had to leave without eating. They’ll get you a drink after 10 minutes, but then they never come back.

I was very disappointed in the food, service, and atmosphere this time. Booth tables are way too close, and there is no space to even wiggle. It's time to update the interior. Steak fajitas Quesadilla was good, but beans and rice were blah, and the queso dip was so watered down that it had zero flavor and wouldn't stick on the chips. I am extremely disappointed and won't be going back. Sorry, but I can no longer highly recommend this place.

My family had a great time at La Nopalera Restaurant in Richmond Hill this evening. Our server JOEL was very friendly and attentive! The food was delicious. My husband always orders the Molcajete. If you like to eat lots of food, you need to try the Molcajete. You won’t be disappointed. My Taco Salad with chicken was really good. Our daughter ordered yummy enchiladas and tamales. Highly recommend it!

I’ve been to Mexican inspired restaurants all over and this little place in Beaufort is the best. The food is perfect.

Took my family there for dinner 7/1/24. Restaurant was half-full and yet the service was slow. Food was decent. Will never go back because they gouged me for $4.99 for a can of Miller Lite, and $6.49 for a draft beer of Dos Equis for my grown son, and $2.99 for a diet coke for my wife. RIP OFF PRICES!! If you go there, DO NOT BUY A BEER!!! GOD only knows what they will charge for water.
