I only write reviews when it’s 4/101
After a long day of baking, I had to go to Dunwoody for a business matter. Since I'm rarely in the area, I thought I'd grab a bite to eat! I live in Lawrenceville and decided to stop at this place. Unfortunately, this is definitely not soul food; I apologize, but I am a southern cook. The pork chops were smothered, but it was really just pork chops with canned gravy slathered on top! The black-eyed peas were plain and lacked seasoning. The plate tasted as bad as it looked. Personally, I wouldn't serve it up like that. The guy at the front kept touching his beard and had no personality whatsoever! I'm sure he means well, but in a business, you need to know who fits certain roles and keep them there. One positive was the young man with dreads; he had a fantastic personality and understood that even with poor food quality, good customer service can win you over! Not to mention, my mom ordered the BBQ chicken, and they were enormous, almost like they were pumped with steroids!! The first picture is the beginning the last picture I trashed it! $50

Sheena and Quan were so kind and the customer service was awesome. Not to mention the food was phenomenal. The dessert off the chain. If you are in Atlanta don't you dare not stop and get the best soul food in Georgia.

The food was scrumptious!!!!! The fried chicken was beyond expectations. The greens tasted like it came straight from grandma’s kitchen and the Mac and cheese was fire!!!!! I frequent different restaurants in search of good old fashioned southern dishes. So far this is the best Southern food I’ve ever had from a restaurant.

Didn't try the food. The food smelled great, but there was no sitting for a child, so I couldn't sit down and eat but would try again without my son.

This was my first time visiting this location. I was recommended here by a fellow coworker. I rarely write reviews but I had to write this one. The guy at the front counter was very rude. He does not great customer as they are coming into the restaurant. While interacting with him I asked a question and avoided the question. While waiting for my order I watched him touch the register then proceed to make other customers plates without washing his hands. He put on one glove and the other hand was glove free he used that hand to open people plates and place their cornbread on it. Also his hair is all over the place and neither staff has on hair nets around the food. When I got my food and tasted it the greens was very salty, the cornbread was blend, the Mac and cheese was a bit dry, and turkey wings was not smothered. There was no gray on the top of my wings at all. Also the yams was disturbing they were not sweet and they seemed to taste as if they came out of a can. To pay 31.00 dollars for soul food at least have the food taste like how you all are advertising. And lay off some of the salt in the greens. I support all businesses but this one I would not recommend to anyone. Unless they get their staff up to speed with their customer service and better handling food. Also the lady Charmaine seems a little irritated and like she does not want to be there.
