Barrier Island Brewing

We dined in the heated outdoor covered patio last night with our family of 8. Eddie, our server, was absolutely wonderful! He took great care of us & conversated with us when he wasn't busy. We visit Barrier Island every time we're in St Simon's. Eddie has only been with the brewery for a month and a half but what an excellent asset to their brewery!

Dietary restrictions: Eddie, our server, took great care to check for a dairy free option for a bun for our son's burger. He ended up using a hoogie roll and the chef even made the burger in the shape of the roll.

Wife and I stopped in for a snack and some beers. Our bartender was friendly and attentive, and the beers we sampled in flights were great. The bar area is very cozy, but all areas of this restaurant were bustling. Shrimp cakes were very good and wife had one of the bowls which she enjoyed as well.

Highly recommend. We had the steak sandwich and the burger. Both were excellent. Great atmosphere for a brewery. The beer prices were very reasonable. Exceptional service.

Been coming go St Simons for years and we just recently discovered this lil gem. Great beer and food selections. The bartenders are very friendly. Nestled right by East Beach in a little tucked away tiny village. We will be back for sure.

I had chicken wings. My wife had the shrimp cakes. Those were appetizers but they made a great lunch meal. Service was great and building had a nice decor. Easy to find with Google map. I'd go again.

I wish I could give more stars! Our server was wonderful, and the items he suggested were spot on for each of us, as if he could hear our taste buds speaking to him. Initially, we thought the prices were high, but we were delighted when we learned that it was a scratch kitchen, not the typical bar food we had expected. It was 100% worth every dime. The patio is dog-friendly, so we will certainly be returning with our little friends in tow. (I would have posted photos, but we ate everything so fast!)

Vegetarian options: The vegetarian pita is for EVERYONE, not just vegetarians! That beet hummus is *mwah* delicious! I want their recipe.

Needed a snack and cold beer, we shared beer cheese dip with pretzel hot pretzels, had Golden Ray IPA and Red Right Return Ale. Beers were really good, as was the food.

Food is excellent. Nice variety for a "pub/tavern". Unique drinks, and their beers (brewed there) are quite good. Love the Blueberry wheat beer. Apps are great and don't miss out on their take on beignets. They're yummy.

Vegetarian options: Yes lots of nice options.

Parking: Parking lot is small and can fill up fast.
