Our “go to breakfast” on Saint Simons Island. We love the food and the staff is great. Our post-Sunday church service stop encountered a larger crowd, but the wait and “sitting at the breakfast bar” (latter new) was fun! Our compliments to our waitress who worked through tight conditions noting the eggs Benedict/egg sandwich were great. Their “hash” is a 10!
We have come here for years. Today was really disappointing. The biscuits used to be large and wonderful. Today’s was small and spongy. They got our order wrong and the omelet was bland and watery. Coffee was good! This place seems to have changed. Ownership? Management? Whatever it is please change it back. Oh and the new prices are high - $22 for a simple omelette, home fries, crappy biscuit, and coffee. Plus’s tip of course.

During our stay on Saint Simon Island we decided to have breakfast at Cafe Frederica because we had sampled other area breakfast restaurants and for the most part had been lackluster. The cafe is not the easiest to find even with GPS. But after we found it we were impressed by the restaurant appearance outside and inside along with the great staff offering wonderful customer service.
