I have never been more insulted. The food was horrible. Our food was over cooked and our drinks (Diet Coke) were not refilled!! I will not be going back to Coastal Kitchen!!

Hands down the best raw oysters I have ever had. The dirty oysters with caviar, sour cream, hot sauce and lemon are beckoning me to come back! Magnificent! Boil and eat shrimp was spot on! Shrimp and grits were wonderful! Come early, around 5, eat out on the deck facing the marina for a breezy, casual and coastal dinner view. Awesome experience!

As a previous restaurant owner and chef I will put this as simply as possible. we were very excited to try this restaurant and decided to have lunch there. What a big mistake that was. First off potato latkes is not fried hash browns like you would get at Waffle House, in fact Waffle House hash browns are far better and not over cooked. Second when the menu states pancakes come with fruit and whipped cream I can only expect that is what it should be served with. Not an excuse from the waiter 15 minutes later that he saw they weren’t there. But served it anyway. Well if that’s the case why did you bring the dish to my table if you knew it was wrong. Finally cat head biscuits are not small there suppose to be big, plus where was the sauce on the dish my wife ordered, why was the egg over cooked it certainly was not runny as it should have Other than the view I would rate this restaurant as one of the very (worst ) in all of St Simons. I could go on but it was a big let down and we will not be back. If you are looking for a view and a drink then limit yourself to that alone, but if you are looking for good food served correctly and not over cooked, missing parts and waiters who could care less, then this is the place for you, if not then don’t bother making your way here. I hope the owner reads this review and has a little talk with his chef and the staff .

This place is super cute, but definitely not a great place to eat. First off, the atmosphere is beautiful, especially the outdoor seating. This was the main thing that drew us to this place. This definitely was the best part of the experience. To start, the service is super slow and the waiter seemed very preoccupied and unfriendly. This was annoying but I can kind of understand since it was Labor Day weekend. The main issues were the drinks and food. The food is not as described. We ordered the lobster and crab pasta. Do not get this!! It was not crab or lobster. It was sausage. There is a sausage pasta, but it is not the one we ordered. Maybe it was the waiters fault or maybe the kitchens but it was not the same thing that was on the menu. It also just seemed very low quality for $35. To add to this, the drinks had bugs floating inside of them. I’m assuming it was from the ice machine but who knows. This is annoying but more importantly it’s a health issue that the health department needs to address. This place is beautiful but it’s not worth your time or money.

In St Simons Island for the night and unfamiliar with the area. Went to investigate the location of our appointment the next day and discovered Coastal Kitchen. We travel with our three small dogs, and they were welcome out on the deck, which is where we wanted to be. The young man server was very friendly and polite. He was helpful with the menu and made excellent suggestions. I started with a cup of gumbo. My only complaint is that I got the cup and not a bowl. This was the best gumbo I have ever had, and I try it everywhere I can. I had the chef's special, blackened grouper. Very good, prepared perfectly. My date had the Cajun pasta,Picayune Pasta. She was very pleased, she said it was phenomenal. If I ever get to the area again I will happily return.

Loved our lunch here overlooking the marina. It was a great escape from the heat. We loved the raw oysters. We had some plain and some dress up the house style. Both were excellent. For our entrees my wife and I both had the crabcake BLT. The crabcake was meaty and delicious. The bread was slightly too much. Would have love to have slightly less bread. The bacon in the BLT was cooked perfectly. The waitress recommended a local Mexican style lager that was excellent.

$17.00 for a whiskey and coke. The bartender poured a slash only and the rest was coke. She presented it as if I was bothering her. Very dispointed. There was not even a half a single shot in the entire glass.

Service was great. Food was wonderful. We were sat at our table right away. I know it was a holiday weekend and it was crowded, but it was very loud in the restaurant. But overall great experience.

This restaurant was beautiful and it was the best redfish I’ve ever eaten! The restaurant is so cute, the drinks were great and the service was tremendous! Our server Lainey was so sweet, we had a party of 18 including 5 young children and she was amazing! Highly recommend! Beautiful views!

Kid-friendliness: High chairs and a kids menu available.

We like to find new water front restaurants, and needed a place to meet friends from north Florida. This was half way and we were fortunate it was! The food was excellent. The shrimp and sausage gumbo was excellent. The grouper sandwich was just as good, and the chicken salad wrap was great. The only issue is parking. The restaurant is in a busy marina so you might search for parking
