Pizza, salads and sandwiches are spot on from this local shroom. What is lacking is the wait staff is overwhelmed and could be better. The atmosphere is LOUD, but funky like all Mellow Mushrooms. Food is good, drinks are decent from the bar.
Parking: Parking can be difficult due to people not at the restaurant parking in the lot and going elsewhere to the pier.

Our server changed three times, so it was unclear who it really was. Our calzones were slightly burnt on the outside. We had been traveling and went out of the way to eat there, so because we weren't dressed like other people, it felt as if we were not treated as well.

Spent a rainy Sunday afternoon here watching the NFL. We loved the pizza (holy shiitake). Wings were very good, too. Service was fine.

We had a large family group for a birthday meal. Sat outside on the deck that surrounds a beautiful huge oak. Pizza was perfect. Weather was perfect. There is also an area with couches and TV.

The food was good, everything else, not so much. Pretty sure the employees didn't want us there. Blasting music from a Bluetooth speaker to get people to leave, is definitely how you get them to leave and never come back. Plenty of other pizza/bar options in the area. This one isn't worth the hassle.

No pizza chain can compare! Veggie pizzas are amazing! I feel so spoiled, it's either a $4 frozen pizza or M.M. No other chain pizza can compare!
Vegetarian options: Our server took the time to explain all dietary restrictions, separation of any meats, etc.

Fantastic Food! Fantastic Service! Fantastic Atmosphere! My Daughter Wanted Pizza While We Visited The Island. Went To Sal's And Was Treated So horribly. Ended Up At The Mellow Mushroom And Had The Best Dinner. Our New Go To Pizza Place When We Come To St. Simmons. Thanks ?

Bethany the bartender is fabulous!!! Food was good. It was so hot inside. Sat and sweat the entire time. They said the AC was working but that can’t be true.

As is with most chains, you walk in kind of knowing what to expect. This Mello Mushroom is pretty good when compared to other locations. Probably because it is almost always busy and they are constantly making fresh dough. Be aware that there is almost always a wait to get in and a longer than expected wait after ordering. There is a pretty big staff but they are going full speed from open to close. The place slows down about 2pm for an hour and about an hour before close. The draft beer selection in 2024 was VERY heavy on IPA and hipster craft types, but the can/bottle selection is huge. DO NOT park here and then head somewhere else like the other shops at the beach or you will be towed. Better to use public parking 100 yards away. Great atmosphere inside with pretty cool decorations. Fairly kid friendly too.
Parking: Use the public parking just to the west so you don't get towed when walking to the shops after pizza.
