Went to the Crab Trap tonight — should’ve been called the Trap House. The staff spent more time complaining about their hours than actually serving. The food? Laughable. The “rock shrimp” were so rubbery I could’ve played racquetball with them. I asked for blackened scallops and got burnt hockey pucks instead. And for these tiny portions, they’ve got the nerve to overcharge. Do yourself a favor: save the time, money, and disappointment, and drive to Skippers — way better seafood, way bigger portions, and you won’t leave feeling scammed.

I was slightly disappointed given the recommendations I'd received. The food was good, but the portions were small compared to the prices and the seating was a little cramped. The standout was the service. From hostess that wait staff and even the bus boy, everyone was great.

2- take the empty plates and his response—- leave it and buss boy will get it.
3- charges 3% for cash… took 45 min for the manger

Hostesses were unfriendly. Prices were high compared to Crabdaddy’s that we ate at night before. Waitress never came back to check on us after we got our food to let her know my baked potato was rotten inside.

The crab legs were the worst I’ve ever eaten. The shells were soft and wouldn’t crack properly. The meat inside would not pull out and flaked apart. Very frustrating! Also the coleslaw was terrible and only 1 choice for dessert. Needless to say, my husband and I won’t be back.

It was very nice. The Blackened Flounder was excellent. Location and atmosphere were great. Service was also amazing. Nice place to visit as a tourist.

When my wife and I go to Saint Simon, this is our goto restaurant. You get 3 clusters of crab 5 they are sooo good
Great seafood, especially the fried oysters and decided to go with the crab chowder which was amazing.
