Best fried shrimp and hush puppies I have ever had! I am a born southerner and have eaten a multitude of hush puppies but these are heaven on St. Simons island. Do yourself a favor and try them you won’t be disappointed.

I got the blackened flounder, which was the fish of the day. It was good. This place seems suited for large groups, or if you're alone, sitting at the small bar in front.

It's a casual sit down place and there is a pretty good amount of seating available. It's a little cramped but it made sense because we came around dinner time. I was expecting better food for the prices listed as well as better quality. Each meal ranges from $24-$27 and on the menu there is an extra $3 charge for sharing entrees. The waitress said she wouldn't apply the fee to the bill, but it's a concerning to think that such a charge existed in the first place. The fried oyster basket was okay, I liked the hush puppies but wasn't a big fan of the fries. the fries are battered, but there doesn't appear to be any seasoning on them. They were extremely bland and also soggy. The cajun shrimp also didn't appear to have any cajun seasoning and just tasted like they were grilled with seasoned salt. It was also extremely dry and didn't taste fresh. The coleslaw also wasn't great but it did help cut the greasiness of the fried foods. The seafood casserole was good but is frankly not worth the +$24 price. The bread was advertised as garlic bread but was just toasted bread. Unfortunately, I wouldn't come back to this place.

If you’re serving canned mushrooms you should at least make some attempt at frying them! The crab soup is great!
