I had the ahi tuna tacos, messy had to use my fork but taste was ok. My husband had the crab cake BLT sandwich, which wasn’t lump crab but more like deviled crab. We had the calamari appetizer which was amazing came with fried cilantro, delicious.

We had a really good meal at The Half Shell. Started with the open-faced tuna tacos appetizer, which were fresh and well done. For dinner we had the crab cakes, crab BLT, and grilled shrimp, all served with sidewinder fries and a variety of dipping sauces. Everything tasted great and was nicely portioned.

Cassie was our server and did a solid job—friendly and attentive without being overbearing. We also tried the drink of the day, the Mistletoe Martini, made with gin, elderflower, and cranberry. We went with gin and it was a good choice.

Overall, a good experience with good food and service.

Went in for the first time tonight because a number of people recommended it and sat at the bar. The lighting was perfect, music level was great, food was phenomenal from the open faced tuna tacos to our entrees. Walter was the bartender and he was informative and personable, and I watched him actively handle a difficult customer that ordered the wrong thing - he was professional and solved the customer's problem quickly and kindly. 11/10, we will be back and would recommend this spot to anyone.

We tried several entrees and were pleased with everything! A MUST HAVE is the bacon wrapped green beans. They are awesome and they give 4 clusters as one of your side options. You will NOT regret it!!!

This may have been our favorite restaurant during our time in St Simon's! Everything we ordered was delicious. The bacon wrapped green beans are a must! The oysters were fresh, and the baked oysters with spinach and bacon had great flavor. Our server was not only nice but she knew the menu and had great recommendations. We will be going back next time we are in town!

Fantastic! I can’t say enough about the great food and quality service. Our waitress was wonderful and the atmosphere was great! We biked in on our beach cruisers. We are from Alaska and eat a lot of seafood, so we were so happy the fresh catch of sea trout was cooked to perfection! We are so thankful we found this treasure on our one night stop to celebrate our 30th anniversary! They also blessed us with a free dessert to celebrate:)

As a resident for over a decade this is one of our favs, but last night may have been the best ever. We had Tuna. Burgers, Fish sandwich and dessert and there wasn’t a bite of food on any plate at the end. Whoever the chefs are need raises!

Visiting here for the first time from Ohio. Excellent place our food was amazing. Raw oysters were incredible.cassi our Server was very professional and made us feel very welcome. Great Job Half Shell!!!
