Came here when it opened and loved it. Last 2 times were so bad I had to leave this review. It’s as if no one cares about the food or service. We were the only people in the entire restaurant today during our visit and everything was pretty much cold and terrible, and service horrible. Whoever owns this restaurant should take control quickly or you will be out of business. I’m sorry to have written this review but I can’t let other people waste their money or time like I did today.
I called ahead after work to place an order, one of which was a few sides of gyro meat...once I arrived home the meat was so hard and burnent it was not edible...I called the restaurant and the manager told me it was just cold...put it in the microwave.....wow...you can actually give this to someone to eat?..that is irresponsible and sad..knowing they won't see the meal until they are far from the restaurant...this is dishonest...and in poor taste....beware, I will no longer give my business ess to this restaurant. Good luck
Everything we had was delicious. The staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. Can't wait to come back when it's safe to dance
Worst dining experience I've had in a while. To start they were out of Lamb, and we were not told until after we ordered appetizers??? Food was just ok, but the service was horrible. There was only one person working, we substituted our fries for vegetables, but got the fries anyway and then were told our green beans would be right, but we never got them. Overall bad expererience. I will never go back.
DONT GO HERE!!! We were in the mood for some good Greek food. We decided to try a new place (Santorini taverna). I’m actually on the Atkins diet right now, but can eat meat. So I was ready for some gyro meat (rotisserie lamb). I was excited to see a dinner special that was just the gyro meat and two sides. The service was very slow. It seemed like only one person was working (seating people, answering the phone, taking orders, clearing tables). But he finally came to take our order. I ordered my gyro meat plate. Oh sorry we’re out of that meat he says. You’re out of gyro meat?? I was surprised and disappointed. Ok.... I’ll have the grilled lamb chops. Sorry we’re out of that as well. Ok.... I’ll have the baked lamb shank. Sorry we’re out of that... we don’t have any lamb. What?! I had to repeat it to be sure. (I thought to myself, why are you open?). We should have left right then but we didn’t. I ordered something else and some appetizers and sat grumpy at the table...Our flaming cheese appetizer came and it wouldn’t flame. Apparently they’re out of flames tonight as well! $12 for a lump of warm cheese. Sorry he says...Our entrees came (tour of Greece). I mentioned I’m on a diet (no carbs). So i substituted vegetables for the French fries. I received French fries. I immediately asked again for the green beans and he apologized and said he would get them. (Do you know how hard it is to stare at French fries after you’ve been on a carb free diet for 3 weeks!!)Anyway the salad had no dressing it was basically chopped lettuce. 2 out of the 3 meat skewers were so tough you could barely chew them. The chicken skewer was edible. The vegetables never came.Between bad service, poor quality food, and NO lamb.... this was one of the worse dining experiences I’ve had in awhile. Obviously we will never go back.
The food is too salty. I hope the chef will start using less salt so he can reach more customers. I ordered Pastirsio and it felt like I am eating a ball of salt. And the tzatziki too. I’ve eaten The same food at others restaurants and I had no problem with the salt. This means that the Chef at Santorini should start using less salt.
Had takeout dinner at Santorini for the first time. While my falafel sandwich was so-so, our other dishes were excellent. My fussy eater daughter had the spanikopita and she loved it. Still in shock. The baklava cheesecake was "the best dessert I've ever had," said my wife, which is saying a lot. The next best thing to an actual trip to the Greek Island.
I may be a tough critic because my husband and I grew up with homemade Greek dishes but comparatively speaking to others, this was average at best. The Village Greek salad and Avgolemono soup were good...very good in fact. We ordered Souvlaki that I can’t say was bad, but just average at best. The potatoes were the stand out item but the grilled meat was just okay, the pitas were soft (not toasty) and the spanakopita was all spinach and zero cheese. I would have been okay with mediocrity in casual Greek food but the prices indicated that we were getting more. Sorry, kills me to write an average review on a Greek restaurant. Checked the box and on to the next
Very fresh ingredients, great service and easy to go food! Menu has great variety and there is something for everyone in your party. Easy parking.
Great food every time we go. There is a huge selection of appetizers and the deserts are to die for.

Walked in tonight to check out the menu bcs I enjoy Greek food and was looking forward to eating there one night. I had my Black Lives Matter mask on and, without being asked, the manager told me “all lives matter.” I explained that while all lives are important, all lives can’t matter until this country does better recognizing the plight of our black brothers and sisters. He continued on, and I left after trying to use another analogy. It was not going to change his mind, but I can vote with my feet and 1) not go back and 2) let others know what to expect if they do.
I love this place, it’s super chilled, reasonably priced, friendly service and the food is super tasty. They always give me lemon soup, it’s awesome, I like the gyro as well. Definitely worth a try
The staff was so friendly when I placed my to go order. Food was ready when I arrived and SO DELICIOUS. The best Greek food I’ve had in the area. Also I got an eclair and it was so delicious as well (and huge)! So glad I gave this place a try and will definitely be back. I had a gyro plate with lamb, rice and salad.
Greek food... awesome. I will be back with my relatives. Prices were decent. Food is like a restaurant in Jacksonville I loved.
Nice location for greek food. stopped in on a monday i think. the staff was very friendly and attentive. prices were fair for the quality of the food. menu is like a cafe in boston i liked.
