The General Muir Reviews
This place is out of this world fantastic. The pastrami is near perfect. We dined for brunch and tried piled high pastrami, the general breakfast with schmaltz potatoes, deviled eggs, and pastrami and grits. We also had coffee and egg cream. We finished off brunch with a round of desert: cheesecake, coffee cake, and chocolate cake. Everything was so good from the service, to the atmosphere, to the food and I can’t wait to go back here.
There's no parking anywhere. Plan on walking a mile after you find a parking spot. Please don't drive an hour just to find out this place only has 10 parking spots in front of its establishment.

Now you don't have to go to NYC for NYC prices. $70 for a couple of bagel sandwiches, a coffee and a plate of eggs? (Insert Bronx cheer here.)
The General Muir offers solid food with fast service and reasonable prices. The atmosphere may be affected by road noise on the patio. The Bagel with smoke trout is fresh and delicious, while the Reuben sandwich is a standout with authentic Russian dressing. Parking can be a challenge, but the wonderful bagel sandwiches make it worth a visit.
The restaurant is a great casual breakfast or lunch option in Sandy Springs, but customers should be prepared to wait. The food and drinks are fantastic, with highlights including a lavender latte, Reuben and chicken club sandwiches, and flavorful fries. The delicatessen meats are delicious and authentic. However, the service can be slow, and prices are on the higher end. Outdoor seating lacks umbrellas, so customers should bring sun protection on hot days. Overall, the food quality and variety make The General Muir a worthwhile destination, despite some service and price challenges.
