I hate to leave bad reviews and wanted to hold off as was told several times they would reach out to me which they have yet to do. Ordered take out on saturday night and found a screw in the brunswick stew. Thats incredibly dangerous and they seem to have no issue with it.

Great local, comfort food that we have all grown up enjoying! Service is spotty, but the atmosphere is the best!

I have to say that they out did themselves for our 20+ to go order and sent me back with everything correct and everything I needed and was excellent on making sure I was taken care of before leaving and I have to say great job to the crew that night.

I’m from Savannah and have so many great memories of Carey Hilliard. While visiting today we stopped in for lunch. The service was friendly but the food was awful. So much so my friend and I both couldn’t finish the meal. We had what was supposed to be shrimp salad sandwich and onion rings. We got hard dry bread that wouldn’t even hold the sandwich together. The shrimp salad itself tasted nothing like any shrimp salad I’ve ever eaten anywhere much less ‘Carey Hilliard shrimp salad’ The onion rings looked like Carey Hilliard onions but had no taste what so ever. $29. And some change , the food was trashed. So very sad that this once was one of the best places to eat has made its way to the worst. Thus will be my very last trip to this restaurant!!!!

I ordered a half rack of ribs and was very disappointed because they were so dry and hard that I took them back the next day to complain and prove I was right. The manager gave me a credit for a future order of equal value.
