“My grandma and me went today for lunch and it was amazing! We both decided to have the fried shrimp. ? Everything was fresh and delicious. The tartar sauce was great, the small biscuits are so good. Sweet tea is definitely made right for the south. She had cheese grits and a sweet potato, and I had garlic mashed potatoes and side salad with ranch. All amazing. “I work in the area and typically bring my lunch but I’m so glad today I hadn’t arranged for that. I decided to try something new and boy did I stumble upon a treat!I got the beef cubano wrap with fried yuca and it was out of this world. Everything in the wrap was marinated, cooked to perfection and so fresh! The favors were explosive.As for the yuca, I grew up around Cuban family and I love love traditional yuca. The yuca fries were an exciting change of pace. They were crispy and well seasoned but not overly seasoned so you can still taste the yuca. I loved that.I called in my order, was told 10-15 min. I arrived in 10min and waited 2. It was quick and convenient. Also, it was under 15$ with tip. You can’t even get fast food for that anymore!10/10 recommend Latin Chicks and I can’t wait to go back.“

“Top tier restaurant for Jamaican food. Truly authentic. Some of the specialty items are cooked to order such as the stew shrimp, but if you're like me I don't mind waiting for fresh food. Island Breeze can be difficult to find if you're not familiar with the area. Located on Montgomery Street next door to BoBo's seafood and across the street from an auto body shop. The customer service is good but as a native New Yorker I expect a little attitude from all Carribean restaurants, that's how I know the food is going to be amazing. Haha. I don't get attitude from anyone here but I've called in orders before and the person has definitely been short with me. Again, not a negative because the food is bomb. The inside is small so not made for a crowd. I tend to order my food and then wait in my car or order ahead so the food is ready when I arrive. It gets very busy in there especially at lunch time and if you're like me and always want a patty, make sure to double check because they sell out quickly.“
