Came here for my birthday. Underwhelming experience and food. Upon arrival the hostess asked was it really my bday. kind of odd, but whatever. No other mention of me celebrating my bday by staff for the rest of the evening. My fiancé and I did the chefs tasting and we did just that. Most of the dishes were either so small all you could do was taste or we took a taste and didn’t go back for seconds. Overall wouldn’t come back or recommend plenty of better restaurants in Savannah for the price.

They have a full vegetarian menu and a good selection can be made vegan.
We’re not that into cabbage and sweet potato but they really made them delicious ! What a surprise !
It proves you that anything well prepared can turn scrumptious.

I can’t understand how this restaurant got the reviews it got . I was totally disappointed and so was my party of 4 . The menu was disappointing with very limited entrees . The food was eh , was over priced more what we ordered . The service never saw our waitress again until she put the dessert menu down and didn’t even say anything . I’m sorry but this was a total disappointment . We traveled to get there as well .

My girlfriend and I had an unforgettable experience at Common Thread for her birthday, and we owe so much of it to the incredible staff. Our server, Sofia, was absolutely fantastic—attentive, knowledgeable, and incredibly kind. But what made the night even more special was the hospitality from AJ and Nikki, who weren’t even our servers yet still went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Their kindness and energy truly enhanced our evening.

We also had the pleasure of meeting Chef Brian, who took the time to explain some of the dishes to us. His knowledge of cuisine is outstanding, and you can tell how passionate he is about his craft. It was such a cool experience getting to hear about the food directly from the chef, and it made us appreciate each dish even more.

Speaking of the food—absolutely delicious. Every dish was beautifully crafted and full of flavor. You can tell that Common Thread puts thought into every ingredient and presentation. It was the perfect place to celebrate, and thanks to Sofia, AJ, Nikki, and Chef Brian, my girlfriend’s birthday was even more special.

If you’re in Savannah and looking for an incredible dining experience with top-tier service, Common Thread is a must-visit!

The family share style was enjoyable. The way they set up the house as a restaurant was unique. Nice hidden and private alcoves for intimate conversations or a private business discussion. The service was attentive.

This place came highly recommended when we asked locals and our hotel where to go. When we got the menu at first we were a bit nervous since we’re not big seafood eaters…but this menu and place did not disappoint!!!!!!!! Everything 10/10!!!! Sweet potatoes! Onion Salad, Prime NY Strip with the potatoes and broccoli! The bread with honey and olive oil…you’ll want multiples!!!!! The coconut gelato…the strawberry poppy cake! Lindsey was our server and ask for her!!!!! Everything she recommended we loved and her knowledge and service was top tier! She went above normal service. This is must stop place!!!! We loved it!!! The decor was stunning also!

This place was recommended to me by a friend of mine, whose father opened up a restaurant in Savannah called Vic’s. I’m from out of town flew in from Reno Lake Tahoe, after attending a business conference in Atlanta. came up to the door, walked in and asked for a table at the bar, they were very accommodating . If you’re looking to get a table, you definitely have to make reservations in advance the place is popular. The food was great!!!

Parking: Parking on the street

I had the most incredible birthday celebration at Common Thread! From the moment we arrived, the service was outstanding—attentive, warm, and truly thoughtful. The staff went above and beyond to make the evening special, ensuring every detail was perfect.

The highlight of the night was the chef’s tasting menu, which was an absolute masterpiece. Each course was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor, showcasing the chef’s creativity and expertise. Every bite was a delightful surprise, and the wine pairings elevated the experience even further.

I couldn’t have asked for a better way to celebrate my birthday. Thank you Sophia
and the entire team for making it such a memorable night! I can’t wait to return.

The only reason I didn't give this 5 stars was because the portion sizes could've been more for the cost. Other than that, this was a great first-time experience. I'm just glad I didn't go on an empty stomach🤭 I liked the fact that they had options that they were able to make vegan.

Vegetarian options: Vegetarian and vegan friendly, just be prepared on the cost side of it. I definitely would go back.

Whilst this restaurant came highly recommended, it was average for fine dining. The menu wasn’t clear and the server didn’t point out that the chef’s tasting menu had to be ordered by everyone and that it was a shared menu for the table. It also wasn’t clear that every item on the tasting menu was included. Typically you pick one from each course. That said, the items were creative one bite dishes. My faves were the fish dishes.

We sat at the bar and it was interesting to watch them mix various concoctions. I loved how they make use of an older house.

Sharing with everyone. Today, we got engaged in Savannah and were very excited to dine at this restaurant, as many chefs and managers in town had highly recommended it. Yet, to our surprise, our 8:45 PM reservation was not honored.

We waited for about 10 minutes at the front desk before someone finally showed up—only to inform us that the kitchen was closing and they would, unfortunately, not be able to accommodate us.

We live in Miami, and even in places where service has sometimes disappointed us, we have never felt as disrespected as we did here. Shame on you, Common Thread—especially shame on hostess.
