Honestly, cannot say enough compliments about Common Thread! The Chef Tasting Menu and wine pairing is one of the most delicious meals we have ever had. There was not one thing we did not throughly enjoy and made our 10 year anniversary memorable!

What an amazing meal! I was in town for work and came here and I am so glad. I ate at the bar and the entire menu looked great. The Chef’s tasting menu had some great options but when I went to order my choices, I was surprised to learn that you get EVERYTHING on the menu. It was at least a dozen plates for $75. I was stuffed by the end but had no regrets. One of the best meals this year. Olivia and Michael were behind the bar and were so gracious and approachable about everything. The wine list by Libby is top notch. I can’t wait to eat here again.

We have done several tastings at different restaurants and while it’s good I don’t know that it’s worth the money. I honestly can’t remember a single thing we had that stuck with me. The gnocchi and lasagna were good but I have had better. I do like that they use ingredients that are locally sourced.
I realize that when people write reviews about food it’s difficult to know whether or not to believe them because do they eat at high end restaurants regularly or at places like Applebees, IHOP, and subway? Not saying places like chili’s aren’t yummy but….

So as someone who’s dined at fine restaurants in the states and several other countries, this one won’t be one I return to.
If you want an amazing tasting menu, go to Zero George. My sister and I were blown away!!

One of the best meals we've had all year. We traveled from Boston to celebrate our anniversary and would have made the trip just for Common Thread. We chose the Chef's pre-fix. Every single course blew us away for the $75 price. Good portion sizes, seasonal, innovative flavors, and beautiful presentation. We also had the wine pairing, which stretched and tickled our palate...they had a few varietals we've never tried and were conversation-worthy. This place needs to a.) raise their prices and b.) get a Micheline star.

This is my new favorite restaurant in Savannah. On my first visit, a large group dinner, we enjoyed a variety of family-style dishes. My favorites from that visit were the ceviche and the wreckfish. On the second visit, there were only two of us, so we opted for the tasting menu. Everything was great, but the standout dishes were the beef tartare (perfectly salty and fresh), the hangar steak (a little spicy, cooked perfectly), and the apple dessert. You cannot go wrong here, especially when you factor in the top-notch service and the gorgeous setting.

Visited Common Thread in Savannah last weekend, and I honestly cannot say enough good things about this place. It was our first visit to Georgia, and this was hands down the best meal we had there. The setting is beautiful — it feels cozy and intimate but still elevated, like a modern Southern home with incredible attention to detail. Huge recommendation: the beef tartare. It was unbelievable. And the gnocchi — I don’t remember the exact name, but it had some kind of squash and was very fall-forward. It was the best gnocchi I’ve ever had in my life. It was so good we ordered a second plate, and we even wanted to come back the next day, but unfortunately, they were closed on Monday. All of the cocktails were fantastic. I wish I remembered the names, but we just had our server choose for us, and every single one was spot-on. Everything about this place — the food, the atmosphere, the service — was exceptional. I’d go back in a heartbeat.

COMMON THREAD prepares seasonal dishes with local produce. We enjoyed the tasting menu comprised of nine very good, imaginative selections. We particularly liked the Carolina Gold Rice with a corn and scallion relish and the Brunswick Shrimp with a heirloom pea succotash. The Hangar Steak with a red wine jus was tender and well-seasoned (smoked chili and aioli). The entire meal was outstanding. Our friendly server Christine took time to answer our questions about exotic terms on the menu like huancaina and furikake.

The restaurant is in a large house. The room we were in only had 2 other tables. So it was very private, they do have a tasting menu. But we decided to order 2 entrees, 3 appetizers, 2 other starters for 2 of us. And we made our own tasting menu. Food was unbelievably good.

Loved our experience at Common Thread! We came for my birthday weekend with a group or 3 other couples and had a great experience in one of the private rooms. We all loved the food and drinks and highly recommend to anyone!

Absolutely beautiful restaurant, that felt both upscale and homey at the same time. Very comfortable. The staff from beginning to end was beyond kind and so helpful. My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary and were so sweet to bring us champagne to toast with. The food was extraordinary, combinations of flavors I would have never thought to combine but worked so so well. We got the S'more dessert and shared it and glad we did because it was so rich, yet so good. Overall, wonderful restaurant with just the nicest staff.

We’ve wanted to try this place for a while and finally made the reservation. We had the chef’s tasting and everything was amazing. The portions seemed small, but we could barely finish the last course.
