I can't claim to be an expert on Southern food but I am a chef and do know what I like and I loved the food here.The place was absolutely jumping busy with takeout - and I can see why !.Our server was very sweet and patient with us as we were clearly " not from around here " ?The biscuits with sausage , bell peppers , onions and mushroom and gravy ! The food is great but its over shadowed by bad service.. I feel bad saying it because the ppl are nice... The place needs a touch of professionalism...and I don't blame the hostess.. you can't have the poor young lady waiting tables and taking orders and answering the phone... its too much... the dinner wear was a plastic fork wrapped in a napkin... its called grits and gray I need a spoon lol... bottom line if you run a restaurant you gotta fully staff it...
