The risotto is the best thing you will ever eat in the entirety of your life. Shout out to Brendan who is a fantastic server! Blessings over all the staff 🍹🍔🥗

Cotton & Rye was an absolute standout during our time in Savannah. The trout and shrimp dish was perfectly seasoned and beautifully balanced, and the porchetta was rich, tender, and full of flavor. But the real stars of the night were the desserts—truly next level. The strawberry ice cream sundae was nostalgic and elevated all at once, and the peanut butter pie was out of this world. Huge shout out to the pastry chef for creating such memorable endings to the meal! Our server, Patrick, was also fantastic—attentive, friendly, and made the whole experience even better. We left full, happy, and already planning a return visit.

Paid $150 to end up with FOOD POISONING-what a nightmare. After reading all the glowing reviews on Google, we were excited to try Cotton and Rye. We booked a table and arrived at 6:30 for dinner.
We had three courses. The chicken wings we ordered as a starter were far too sweet-honestly, the sauce tasted off, and we didn’t enjoy them at all. For the main, I had the steak, and we finished with the chocolate bars for dessert. The only part we actually liked was dessert-it was delicious. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives end.
The real issue? I woke up at 3 a.m. violently ill and vomiting. I hadn’t eaten anything else that day besides some fresh eggs and vegetables at home, so I’m confident the food poisoning came from this meal. When we called to let the restaurant know, the general manager wouldn’t even let my husband speak. She immediately dismissed our concerns, insisting the illness must have come from somewhere else.
Between the overpriced food, the underwhelming flavors, and the complete lack of accountability, this place was a huge disappointment. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Great place for dinner. We had the shrimp and grits (amazing), seasonal crudo (excellent), smash cheeseburger (excellent), vegetable lasagna, and peanut butter pie (pretty good). Everything we got, except the pie, was gluten-free.

We visited here on a Saturday at 5pm. We were set on the covered patio which was nice but there was a fan blasting that made it cold. I asked the waitress if there was any way to turn it down but the remote she had didn’t work. Food overall was ok. For starters, we got the chicken wings (too breaded and too sweet), chargrilled octopus (too salty), Savannah crab rice (not enough crab or it was overpowered but everything else). For entree, we spilt the trout & shrimp which was good and cooked well, but the sauce underneath was a little salty. Service was ok. We noticed they would pick up the plates but still forgot a few for a while and no wiping down the table between dishes.

Food was over priced. Vegetable lasagna was horrible....a couple slices of veggies is all it is. Sat outside under a tent in hard metal chairs. Service was questionable. Won't be back.

Very very noisy and crowded. You have your meal with the business men sitting five inches from you. Only open in the evenings. BUT the food is worth an the irritation!!!

We had a rare opportunity to have dinner date night and immediately knew where we were going. We’ve been in Savannah for almost 3 years and the timing has never worked out to make it to C&R. We could not have been more impressed (even after all the buildup and anticipation!!) It was prime dinner time, so no walkin tables as expected but we were stoked for bar seats! The service was fantastic, cocktails were Excellent, the food blew our minds (the fried chicken my husband has been searching for and the set on the market fish OMG) and Margaret’s wine list is impeccable! We took desserts to go and passed them back and forth until we couldn’t move they were SO GOOD! Please make Cotton & Rye a priority whether visiting or local!

Parking: I thought parking would be tough because they’re so busy, but there’s plenty of free street parking in the neighborhood.

Was in town for an event from Texas, and i gotta say, if you wanna sit at the bar and be ignored, then this is the place to be. I'm not saying it was because of the way I was dressed (in town for a national outdoor event) but it sure felt that way as the more "well dressed people" seemed to get quicker service.

**Update** the service got better about mid way through my meal.

My friend and I visited Savannah for the weekend and made sure to eat our way through the city. Having stopped at The Grey, Olde Pink House, and main other acclaimed spots, we felt that this restaurant was the best we had travelled to. The food was amazing, especially those chicken wings, the cornbread, and quite literally everything else we had. We were being served by Asia, who was incredibly welcoming and offered some of the best service and recommendations we could've asked for. I'd go straight here if I ever visited again.

Cotton & Rye is an absolute must-visit. From the moment I stepped in, the warm, modern atmosphere felt like the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable night. Make those reservations in advance!

Let me tell you about the food—starting with the fried chicken. It’s hands down the best I’ve ever had. Perfectly crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, with just the right amount of seasoning. But the real surprise? That cornbread! Oh my goodness, it was pure heaven. Soft, buttery, with just the right touch of sweetness and a golden crust that had me coming back for more. And don’t even get me started on the mac and cheese. Creamy, cheesy, and downright comforting, it was the perfect side to round out the meal.

The cocktails were on another level too, with creative twists on classics that made it hard to choose just one. And the service? Spot on. Friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about the food they were serving.

Cotton & Rye has this amazing way of making you feel like you’ve found something special. Whether it’s a casual night out or celebrating something big, it’s the kind of place I’ll be thinking about long after I leave, and I can’t wait to go back!
