We have been going there since 2004 on and off and it's the first time that we were disappointed, both of us got the Key West Cuban and it tasted dry as it had been sitting under a heat lamp for some time!
The place is congenial and people are friendly.

Wow wow wow. This place made us feel so LOVED. My husband and I were traveling through the area with our dog, Shadow. Desperate for a good place to eat where our dog could be with us (rather than in the car), Google led us to this gem. Our server Michelle was wonderful and took great care of us. We spent eight days on Tybee Island, and ventured into Savannah a few times. We pretty much ate out for every meal (vacation time!).
The Driftaway Cafe is one of those surprise gems that you run across every once in a while, if you are lucky! We were just looking for a place to grab a quick bite on the way to the airport and happened across it.
The restaurant is cute, quaint and clean. The service is friendly and fast. That’s not even the best part! Everyone...
