Hungry Vegan had the best food I've had in a long time. They are tree-nut free and the only place I've felt comfortable eating in Georgia. The fried mushrooms were great and the place was clean and inviting. Don't let the location or building discourage you. The food here is excellent whether you are a vegan or not. The Salisbury steak is flavorful well seasoned and tender. You would not know it's vegan. The mushroom burger is made from a breaded and deep fried oyster mushroom and comes dressed to your liking. Very good. All the sides are done well and will pay respects to your mawmaw's home style flavors. Soul food done right.

While visiting Savannah I stopped in and got some carryout; it was awesome home cooking!! Super nice folks and the cuisine was spot on. I don’t think I could have made a bad choice. It is a diamond in the rough; southern vegan cuisine is hard to find and I found it. Next time I’m back in town it will be a must stop. Thank you for a wonderful meal!

We came into town from Charleston and had this spot saved as a must stop! Lunch was fresh and delicious, EVERYTHING on the plate was a hit: salisbury steak, lima beans, okra, cornbread, lasagna and black eyed peas. For sure will return!
