Original Pancake House Reviews
This was our first time eating there, since we don’t live in Savannah. Great and friendly staff! Our waitress Nia, greeting was warm, friendly and inviting! She gave wonderful service with a smile! The food was delicious and didn’t take long to come to our table. I ordered via Uber Eats and did not get what I ordered and paid extra for. I've called the store 13 times now and no one will answer or when someone does answer, I get hung up on. I want a full refund. This is the worst customer service I've ever dealt with. 0 stars. Food is also bland with no flavor. This place is nothing special. We visited Savannah 5 years ago and stumbled upon this place, we enjoyed it so much we went back twice in the short visit we were there. The Original Pancake House is a popular breakfast spot known for its generous portions and delightful southern-style cuisine. Customers often praise the great coffee and enjoyable breakfast offerings that satisfy even the heartiest appetites. The restaurant is especially famous for its apple pancake, which has been enjoyed for over 40 years at many locations. While the service can sometimes vary, with some servers being very attentive and others less so, overall the dining experience remains positive. The food is highly appreciated, with pancakes, French toast, and Dutch babies receiving high praise for their excellent taste and savory flavor. Despite being a bit expensive for a pancake house, the quality and deliciousness of the meals make it worth the price.
On busy days, like Saturdays, there might be a wait, but many find it worth it, even if it can be up to an hour for larger parties. Customers often leave satisfied, especially with the coffee and unique offerings like country ham and shrimp and grits, which are worth trying if time permits. The servers are attentive, ensuring that anything needed is brought back promptly. Overall, the Original Pancake House continues to impress with its delicious breakfast and friendly atmosphere, making it a favorite for many who return often.
