Have I had worse service at a dining establishment, yes, but OMG did someone wake up on the wrong side mod the bed.I've felt more welcome.wanderimg into a Waffle House at 3am only to wake up the staff who were passed out each at different tables. This place was like, "what the heck are you doing here, kinda attitude". Sorry to make you work but could I, should I, order? I had high hopes for decent food anyhow. Nope, food was something poured out of a can and microwaved. No doubt. Maybe this was a decent place years ago when someone cared but that ship has clearly sailed. I think we were the last 2 people to get that memo. Not another customer for days. The whole setting was pretty sad. Game.over man. Didn't get sick and didn't get stabbed so a hair better than 1 star.

absolute trash don't eat here. The staff is rude when we went in there it was absolutely hot and all they had was fans it was expensive overpriced and the food was terrible I can cook better. I don't know why this place is still in business.

This was my first visit, and it was a pleasant surprise. Good homestyle cooking at a reasonable price. We used to be fans of the Holland House before it closed, and have been on the hunt for a new country style cooking home. Until now, we have not come even close. Peggy Lynn's Country Cooking is a bit different than Holland House in that it's variety of food is served from a steam table, but it is good, quick, and piping hot. The additional review star is deferred to a later time once consistency is established. I have given 5 star reviews on first visits in the past, only to be disappointed on subsequent visits. I am looking forward to returning, and hopefully upgrading this review.

I'm not used to restaurants not being open 7 days a week. After 2 attempts at getting food, 3rd time was the charm. Ww had meatloaf with green beans and stewed okra. Good food and plenty of it.

The food was ok on this visit. Our last visit was excellent. The food on this visit wasn't as tasty as before. I had hamburger Casserole which was similar to Hamburger Helper. My mom had a pork chop which was so tuff she couldn't chew it.

Great little country cafe. Meal of the day sort of place with 3 mains and a choice of 8-10 sides. Pleasant staff. Good food and portions more than I could eat!

You could tell it was a local home owned business which made me want to love it. Upon pulling up no cars were in the parking lot, but we thought its almost 9am maybe the rush was over? We were the only customers. The door walking in should have been the first clue as it was covered in hand prints. Inside it felt like a traditional old time diner. Usually the type of place you get amazing food... we sat down and didn't have any menu which was interesting, but breakfast is the same just about everywhere so we ordered biscuts and gravy, coffee, gritts, and bacon. I'll say that the coffee was perfect. Sadly the gravy on the biscuts had a strong flour taste. The bacon also had an odd flavor. I couldn't describe it. The gritts were also disappointing. I don't like giving bad reviews, but I definitely wouldn't eat here again unless all I wanted was coffee. The ceiling fan is in a desperate need of being cleaned. So much so that a layer of dust has formed on the ceiling. The positive take always are great and friendly service and good coffee.
