This was my first visit, and it was a pleasant surprise. Good homestyle cooking at a reasonable price. We used to be fans of the Holland House before it closed, and have been on the hunt for a new country style cooking home. Until now, we have not come even close. Peggy Lynn's Country Cooking is a bit different than Holland House in that it's variety of food is served from a steam table, but it is good, quick, and piping hot. I'm not used to restaurants not being open 7 days a week. After 2 attempts at getting food, 3rd time was the charm. Ww had meatloaf with green beans and stewed okra. Good food and plenty of it.
The food was ok on this visit. Our last visit was excellent. The food on this visit wasn't as tasty as before. I had hamburger Casserole which was similar to Hamburger Helper. My mom had a pork chop which was so tuff she couldn't chew it.
