I had such a great experience at PERC Coffee Roasters thanks to Carlos, the amazing barista! It was my first time trying their Good Times Latte (without the habanero sugar) — and wow, it was sooo good! I let my coffee get cold because I was busy chatting, and when I went to ask for a little steamed milk to warm it up, Carlos went above and beyond. Instead of charging me, he made me a fresh cup in a to-go mug with a lid so it would stay warm longer — perfect for a slow sipper...

For the hardcore specialty/3rd wave people: Best espresso we've on the east coast, have tested places everywhere we've been, Worcester, Boston, Princeton, Alexandria, Charlottesville... Also Antwerp, Munich, Rome... The extreme coffee fanatic / supertaster in the family is the happiest he's been since the tiny new Father Carpenter outpost near Kottbuser Damm in Kreuzberg, Berlin, where the owner makes 20€ espressos.
