We are not sure if it was the restaurant or Uber Eats, but our $7.59 banana pudding was missing from our order. No one returned our call or gave us credit while we were in town. Food was delicious and temperature was just right. We did not go back because no one called us back.

Best comfort food! We door dash after a long week at work as a treat so we spend a little more than a dine in experience, but it is so worth it. Everything is slap-yo-mama good! Their sides selection is limited but when you have great mac-n-cheese, rice, green beans, mashed potatoes, & yams (that's what we've tried so far), you don't need anything more. Their sweet southern cornbread, fried chicken, smothered pork chops, and hamburger steak reminds me of my great grandmother's Sunday family dinners. I can eat two meals off one take out plate so it's a lot of food. My boys (grown) can eat a whole plate, but they don't eat the rest of the day.

I was visiting from VA and drove about 15 mins to try this place. After seeing the set up for the food I wanted to change my mind but was pressed for time. I wish I would've went with my gut. The young lady that made me and my husband's plate acted like she was forced to be there and actually sighed when we asked for fried fish and shrimp. Once we got our food, we asked for tarter and cocktail sauce... they had none! How can you serve seafood with no sauce? The shrimp was not edible. I never tasted anything more salty in my life. It almost tasted like it was fried in chicken grease. Greens were ok, lima beans had no gravy to it(may be a personal preference), yams missing flavor and sweetness. I ate the fish and apologized to my husband for wasting his money.

We’re from Missouri & anytime we’re in the south I make it a point to try new soul food. The plates are flavorful & the environment was very welcoming! I got smothered pork chops & them bad boys just fell apart! Super tender and delicious! 🤤

The girls were super sweet and patient with the 3 of us. They weren't busy so it wasn't a problem. The food was really good. The portions are huge! Everything I ate was delicious! The fried chicken, Lima beans, greens n sweet potatoes were amazing. The restaurant definitely could have been cleaner and needs serious upgrades but you can't argue with good food!

Food Ratings: I ordered the turkey wing dinner, greens, Mac & cheese & yams with 1 piece fried chicken (everyone rated about it)…. The turkey wings 5🌟, the chicken 5🌟, the greens were 3.5🌟 missing something, the mac & cheese just 3.5🌟again missing something, the yams were 1🌟not sweet & the cornbread was 5🌟. Also, I forgot to mention I ordered the banana pudding too it was 4🌟just a little too thick but good!
Staff: Friendly & accommodating because I don’t like my food to touch my meat & get soggy, she packaged it separately for me-5🌟
Atmosphere : I must be honest & say it does not appear to be the cleanest restaurant, it could be because it’s old & old things tend to not look as kept up to date. I would have to rate it 2🌟
