Enjoyed the Mountain Jam and the chats with the bartender. Cool place with axe throwing.

Love this dog-friendly brewery. Great place to relax and have a few beers. The beer is amazing. My fav is the Hop’lin IPA. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable about the beer. They often host events here too. So it’s a real community gem.

Southbound Brewing is a small spot that packs a punch. The sour beer is outstanding this winter. Staff behind the bar are sweet and attentive.

What could have been a total 5 star experience was more like a 3. I think that place is wonderful. I decided to take my gf who lives out of state and enjoys local beer to this location last night. She was amazed as soon as she walked in. HOWEVER, the bartender kinda sucked. Idk if it was because we came in at 9:30 and her shift was almost over but it was really bland. For a place that we have never been to she expected us to know how it works. She didn’t give us any type of engagement. Idk if it’s because we didn’t look like her type of folks she prefer to serve or what - but I Guess we expected more interaction.OTHER THAN THAT- the beer is awesome. The flight for two is awesome. And blade and bull is right next door so that was awesome. I guess we expected the same service we typically get from brewers— and that was not it. —but again we may not have been the bartenders “type” of people. We will try again , in the daytime, with hopefully another crew on shift. I’d still 100% recommend going . The beer is awesome.

Had so much fun at Southbound with Will! Great service, great vibes, and great drinks! Will def come back specifically to hang with him :)

Will is top notch. Throwing axes was amazing, but having a great bartender with killer music tastes also makes it better.

Terrible experience this afternoon. Bartender totally ignored my partner and I. Not sure what his story was but he seemed to be somewhat intoxicated. Very unusual as we have been here before and had a great experience. Bartender didn't acknowledge us so we didn't have the opportunity to purchase a beer so just left. Really sad circumstance for such a formally great place.

Jordan… the best bartender ever and we had a great experience. Thank you so much.

The craziest thing just happened. Went to Southbound for a beer before heading to dinner. Not my first time. About 5 folks at the bar plus the intoxicated bar tender. I think the 5 people were his peeps coz there was lots of free beer flowing. My partner and I sat down at the bar to decide what to get. No acknowledgement from the bartender but thinking he just missed us? Yeah I know only 5 people.... 5 minutes became 15 of being obviously ignored. To the point of him walking our way and turning his back. Not sure if he had a LGBTQ issue or what but sadly won't be going back. Very surprising from such an open city.

We had a great afternoon experience at Southbound Brewery. Following a downtown Savannah meeting, we chose to stop at Southbound for a beer flight tasting, and ended up with an impromptu tour and explanation of the brewing process. A marvelous afternoon experience!First, this is an active production brewery. That means it's a producer of high in-demand labels with familiar flavors, but it's also a brew lab! There are small scale experiments going on as brewers, as taste inventors, conduct their trials in test batches. Here on a slow hot afternoon, we received an extra when the bartender Andy took us into taste trials of some test batches.Food offerings are slight, so come prepared. But your eyes, mind and taste buds will depart far richer for your visit.Cost? 4 or 5 beers tastings of selections are $12-20 each. Groupon often has tasting specials so be sure to check this out!!!
