We were not seen by our server for 25 minutes after we were seated on our most recent visit. This made it very difficult for our family of five to have an enjoyable meal, and the problem was compounded by continued slow service after that point. The rest of my family ended up leaving the table to grab dessert at the ice cream shop before it closed, while I waited for the check. Really disappointing, despite tasty entrees and the beautiful surroundings.

It is very pretty, the view is great, the music was a little loud and the service was slow, and the food doesn’t really stand out. Food is pricy, But overall good.

This is outstanding. The service was super and the food was exquisite. Very extensive wine list.
The gumbo is a must. The bread and biscuits are very good as well. The service, while often slow, was good as well. You have the best views and it is perfectly warm and breezy.

Even in the chilly temps - the staff were professional and engaging, the food was prompt and flavorful. Don’t overpay for the California favorite Cabs - the house Private Selection was a great value. We will be back! Loved the deviled eggs app, the flavorful Cesar and the seafood gumbo! Thanks to Elizabeth for attentive service.

We had dinner at Southern Tide while we stayed at The Cloister. My wife got the chicken pot pie which was very good. She also got a side of colard greens which were very good, also. I ordered the fried shrimp basket . It came with fries. The shrimp were tasty & an ample portion (I could not finish the shrimp or the fries.) This was a pretty basic meal at a reasonable price.
Food was grade C minus. No flavor, small portions, high prices. Great atmosphere and service, but the food was really disappointing.

Watch out!!! Hidden $75 cancellation fee per person. The food itself was overpriced and mediocre. We had shrimp and grits (asked for blackened shrimp, but got shrimp in gravy), shrimp basket, grouper, redfish, and poke. Nothing we ordered was terrible, but nothing was excellent. Wait staff pleasant. Very, very noisy even outside.
Of all the restaurants at Sea Island, Southern Tide is my favorite! Fantastic views right on the beach, extremely friendly staff & excellent menu. I've never had a better biscuit in my life & the jalapeño butter made it that much better. The pimento cheese deviled eggs are next level. Shrimp and grits are as good as they come. And the shrimp basket is shrimply amazing! Get 'em grilled, blackened or fried ... the fries are perfect!! Love this place! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Southern Tide is beautifully set up with comfortable tables and chairs. We dined outside on a balmy evening with a beautiful breeze. Our server was attentive and was knowledgeable about the menu. He was accommodating to a variety of dietary needs. Main courses and appetizers were good and appealed to a variety of tastes within our group. Southern Tide is a nice option if you’re staying on property at Sea Island
