I had the most exceptional experience here. Did you know someone on the Island makes their chocolate? Our chef was incredible. The meat was perfectly cooked, The sauces better than I have had in flavor and delivery. The wine is superb in selection. The decor is hands down some of the most beautiful atmosphere I have ever been in. If you can get in, you must have dessert! You cannot get this chocolate anywhere else.

I have NEVER experienced such horrible customer service in my entire life! Please do yourself a favor and skip this as a dining option! In a place where you should be enjoying top notch food and service, this establishment misses the mark on every level. The management (especially) along with the staff could NOT care less if you enjoy this meal. Our family has traveled around the world and our seasoned guests of Sea Island resort. This is by far the worst stay we have ever had at what is considered to be a “Luxury” resort. If you do decide to visit this property, which I DO NOT recommend, please skip this dining establishment all together!

Last time I visited the restaurant (pre Covid) it was top notch, worthy of a Michelin experience. Not so this time, the service was horrible, haven’t had an unprofessional waiter like this one for a long time. It was a disaster. Food was ok, atmosphere is great.

I cannot comment on the food or service of the restaurant. What I can tell you is before I arrived at the Cloister I received a rude phone call from this restaurant informing me that I would be charged some sort of fee if I canceled (must happen a lot?)and that I would have to dress appropriately ( long sleeves and jacket if a man and cocktail dress if a woman). I planned on wearing what I considered to be appropriate clothing for a dinner and assumed I would be charged a cancellation fee if I canceled ( again must happen a lot) but I am unaccompanied to being treated in this fashion by wait staff. I would remind this restaurant ( that serves some sort of new age Southern food ) that Southern culture is never rude or condescending to its guests. My grandmother tried to set a standard of appearance for her quests but would never have considering demeaning one for his/her clothing choices ( and she didn’t charge resort fees) Makes me wonder what would happen if I decided to wear the cocktail dress? And how do they know if you are wearing long sleeves under a coat? Obviously they are much concerned about these issues than the quality of the food.

Perfect option to gather with friends. Many options of fresh sushi/sashimi that were truly bite sized! . The beef skewers were flavorful and medium rare. Staff were friendly and engaging and responded seamlessly to special requests. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. This is the room for those who prefer business casual.

Had a group of 12 and site in a very nice private room. Service was horribly slow, at one point we had to go ask the manager to please come take our orders. The “seafood tower” was an embarrassment in terms of quality and taste. The entrees were average at best Given all the hype, this was a huge disappointment and I would have a hard time recommending….the other restaurants at the cloister were far better

We were a party of four couples, staying for the weekend at the Cloister Cottages, and we were pleased to learn from the concierge that the Georgian Room restaurant had recently re-opened after a multi-year closure and renovation. They will very likely get their service back to a high standard (they were once lauded as one of the finest dining venues in the South), but they are not there yet... not even close. Problems started at the reception desk when we learned their dress code is more strict than as mentioned on their website and booking confirmation (man's jacket is required for a short sleeve dress shirt). Then, the eight of us had been split into two tables of four (no prior disclosure), and it was an awkward wait as they created what was expected as a table for eight. Wine list prices are sky high (we estimated 400 per cent markup) and no BYO with corkage. Food ordering went smoothly, but when mains were served, three of the eight orders were the wrong items... one was a substitution with the explanation that what was ordered was not available... they had over an hour to correct that fault, but chose to embarrass the lead server, who had to return the wrong item and deliver a replacement main to one guest 20 minutes after the others had finished this course. The front of house team are all wearing Forbes Five Star lapel pins, but this is not a Forbes rated restaurant now. And until they sort out these issues, it likely would not pass a Forbes inspection. Give it a year... they will likely try hard to recover. Floor manager comp'd our wine, but the evening was not what we had anticipated.

For the best dining experience at Sea Island - go to the Georgian Room. You have to dress up - but that only enhances your experience for a culinary delight. Well worth the money - but make a reservation as they're not open every night.

WONDERFUL venue to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. Every detail from the greeting to the farewell was exceptional. Laszlo was our principal server and he was extremely knowledgeable about cuisines and wines. We opted for the 6 course Tasting menu with wine pairings. Two especially memorable items were a champagne upgrade to Tattinger’s COMTES 2007 vintage and a beef upgrade to A5 Waygu which compared to butter or foie gras in texture. The entire menu was wonderful. OH my, truly a great evening. In addition to our desserts, individual chocolate soufflés we were served a Baked Alaska flamed tableside. Our hostess, Brielle was perfect, delightful and memorable. Definitely a special place.

The restaurant served dinner at a perfect speed and the ambiance allowed conversation without straining to hear. Chef Aaron and Sommelier Brandon were highly professional and very co-operative. The evening was relaxed and most enjoyable. Thanks to all the team
