I’ve been here multiple times and every time I am disappointed with my meal. The food is just not good. The Caesar dressing tastes nothing like Caesar it’s like a sour, sour cream, the salads are just glorified iceberg lettuce bowls with no substance, steak under seasoned and make sure to bring a scale with you they love to be skimpy with protein. Overall the portions are also just small. The Buffalo chicken panini is disgusting and a joke. It’s like a mediocre wrap thing, on pita bread? dry and old tasting with barely any chicken on it. It’s not even a panini lol it’s just really poor quality food overall. Plus they make you stand in the back crammed bar area to pick up your to go food instead of using the entire open front of the restaurant where a hostess is supposed to be at and it makes the experience of picking up your food very uncomfortable and inconvenient. Really would be better to just get fast food instead of eating here. Sorry but until they put some $ into their food and put some love back in it I don’t think it’s worth eating here.

Saturday 10/11 at 4pm
Very few people in the whole restaurant. We sat at the bar and had the flattest, skunked Bud Light draft ever.
Usually it’s a safe choice as the kegs turn over frequently but this was garbage.
Lone bartender could not be bothered to look up from her phone. Literally.
She disappeared at one point and I assumed she was restocking or delivering drinks but on my way to the restroom I saw her sitting in a booth in the restaurant area glued to her phone.
I honestly would have complained about the beer but she couldn’t be bothered.
I won’t be back.

I just ordered a Buffalo Chicken Panini and there was barely any chicken in it. It was the equivalent of 1 chicken tender divided between both halves.

I've been to McCray's with my husband in several occasions and we've always had a good time. They have great bar staple foods that have their own twist and spin on things.

Our visit was wonderful! I enjoyed the market fish sandwich blackened, and the flavor was delicious! The sweet potato fries were delicious and my dad said the smash burger was something he would drive back to have again! The service was good, the restaurant was clean. There is plenty of parking in the area. Would come again!

Walked in solo, sat at the bar, and left feeling like I’d just hung out with an old friend. Matt—the bartender—was personable, funny, and yes… easy on the eyes 👀. He makes a drink so good you’ll question why you ever settled for your home bartending skills.

We even found a Charlotte/Mooresville connection that made me feel right at home. Add in some exceptional wings (crispy, saucy perfection) and a surprise brownie for dessert, and let’s just say McCray’s definitely knows how to win a guest over.

10/10 would come back—even if it’s just to see what drink Matt whips up next! 🍹🍗🍫

Immediately seated when walked in. Place was not busy. Ordered turkey club with fries. I must say it wasn’t bad but not too much of my liking. My daughter ordered BBQ wings with fries. They were good. Only complaint is they charged .75 when she asked for extra ranch. What kind of restaurant charges for extra sauce? Lastly
My fiancé had. Ribs, Mac n cheese and fries. He said ribs were a little salty but not that bad. Drinks are on the higher end. Had 2 Long Islands, in small glasses and they were $15 bucks each. Would I go again yes but no time soon.

The food was typical bar food nothing spectacular. Order the buffalo chicken rolls for the table (which lead to pitstop to the restroom for everyone had it. I had a chicken Cesar salad: the chicken tatsed a bit off, the Caesar dressing seemed to be a knock off Caesar- lacked flavor and zest. We decided we wouldn’t be back.
