Came in for some cheap Mexican food, this place hit the spot. Jonathan was our server, he was an excellent server and was very friendly. Food came out quick and was good, it’s not going to knock your socks off buts good cheap Mexican food. The margarita pitcher was excellent as well. Will be back

Monterrey is always consistent, whether dining in or carry out. The staff is always welcoming. And that chunky quac - what can I say!!!!! We always make it part of our order. Tonight was especially cool with Crystal as our server. She was super friendly & engaging- a breath of fresh air! We especially liked her, and will request her on our next visit.

I ordered a beef tamale l, they brought a cold chicken tamale out. The service was so nice I didn't want to say anything. Later I had the worst stomach ache. It's strange because we go there all the time and the good is usually on point.

I've been coming here since i moved to Smyrna in 2016. They have became like my 2nd family especially Theo. He knows what we want, need and never disappoint. Great customer service always makes us so comfortable OMG. I can say so much, the whole team Marco, Miguelito, Leslie H, Juan...everyone. Don't get me started with the food. OMG. We had the worst experience at this place. The young, grumpy woman at the front entrance who seated us had no sense of customer service or professionalism. She didn’t greet us or make us feel welcome. It honestly seemed like she hated both people and her job.
To make matters worse, we sat for 15 -20 minutes without anyone coming to our table. We finally had to ask if someone was going to take our order or at least bring us some water. Even after asking, we waited another 10 minutes.
The customer service at this place is terrible. We had guests visiting from overseas, and this was such a disappointing experience for all of us.
The food tasted horrible, especially the beef, which was tough and rubbery. The ambience was dark and dingy, and the restaurant did not look clean. Overall, the atmosphere felt depressing rather than welcoming.
This place seriously needs to improve its customer service and learn to treat customers with basic respect.

This review is long overdue. I’ve been here multiple times and we enjoy our experience every time. The margaritas are absolutely delicious. Some of the best we’ve ever had. The food is always hot, flavorful, and right on time. I love the casual vibe of this spot. The waiters and waitresses are always very friendly, it is also always busy, but service is still attentive. Overall, it’s a great value and option for singles, couples and families alike.
